Positive/negative offset affects (from what I understand) how the wheels sit inside the guards of the vehicle.

Explaining offset is something a lot of tyre shop places have nfi on.

Quote:
Offset is the distance between the imaginary centreline of the wheel (as viewed from behind the wheel as it would roll away from you) and the inside face that bolts up against the wheel hub on the car.

As far as I know, the copies are only available in 17" :-/ Unless you are using some type of hub adaptor?

RACV will only let you have a 0-1 offset, and are you sure they are to suit an E Series Dallas?

Chuckled at the first bit.

Offended by the second bit.

Unless of course you are talking about the new ones, but still it's a bit offensive.

You've obviously never driven one, or been a passenger in my classic car.

Re the offset they are making sure you have wheels with the correct offset not using spacers or ending up with the wrong track. Often they will specify 7" width limit, or jack prices up for wider, so if you are getting different stories make sure you get it clarified (in writing if necessary) before you buy the wheels.
