Default Transmission Conversion Mk 2 Escort

Just trying to find out how involved in is to convert an Auto 2.0L Mk 2 esky to Manual. I have heard that the Auto Trans Tunnel is larger and therefore easier to bolt in a 5 speed but I guess need new pedal box and clutch kit including cable... also would it be best to also convert to hydraulic clutch at same time.

Looking for a cheap car to begin a project.

i see you have only had six posts here, keep checking this website there are more than a few ppl here that have done auto - man swaps. and yeah the tunnel is a fair bit larger so while your at it get a sierra 5 speed if you can. and if you have the time/money/patience, get a celica 5 speed or something

good luck
