Default my new interior... minus headrests at the moment

Got me car back today. Its a 95 ef XR6, did have that ugly purple/bluey cloth. I will one day when i get my license and give her a good clean make a build thread but its on and off at the moment, especially saving for the house being built, the wedding in next march the honeymoon that follows.

this is the new interior in a nut shell, and the 19x8's been in my shed for 1000 years waiting for tyres. enjoy.

p.s. please comment.

yeah. all the grey and charcoal vinyl on the dash, console, doors and plastic shrouds are aroiginal. i had all the original velours and cloth replaced.

yeah, i wasnt sure about black carpet myself, but i thought i want everything else black, greay and charcoal and thought black would be a good surrounding colour, like its on the roof, floor and outside of the seats to set off the grey and charcoal.

the brand of the wheel is G2 - they make alot of copy wheels for rice cars. im not sure if they are a copy wheel or not. if they are, let me know of what wheel.

cant remember what model their called though, bought 'em on e-bay from t-tyres i think, it was that long ago. theyre a triple dip chrome 19x8's. theyre an AU/BA offset but i already had adaptors for them.

Very nice mate. Have you thought about painting the airbag black? They're dead easy to remove, (2 bolts and a wiring plug) and if you decide you don't like it, another airbag is dirt cheap (well under $50)

I definitely prefer it black! I had one of these wheels in my old EL with a grey airbag, and I hated it. I do have a couple of spare airbags available though for $30 each!

Very nice matey ;)

Job well done. Personally I like the grey in the steering wheel ... it gives the whole contrast concept a complete feel. But in saying that it is all personal opinion, some will lovde some will hate ....... its what we do :P

the carpet was $150 all up from a store on e-bay, they do carpet for all falcons, commonwhores etc etc. its a 2 piece loop carpet. its not fluffy like a rabbit but its nicer than the original carpet. it didnt fit perfect so the up-holsterer had to make a few pushes, squeezes and adjustments to sit properly but the end result im happy with... and it has a heel mat.

im steam cleaning all the vinyl and stuff at the moment, so i'll think about painting later, see how it looks clean.

its still the original knob, but i have pulled it off when i had the shifter shortened.

i just pulled and twisted it at the same time and it eventually (its got a long thread) came off, and then pushed and twisted (the opposite way obviously) to put it back on. yours not coming off? the knobs are made by momo. i did buy a replacement, similar to the BA's knob but the original suits it better i think and well - its momo, not a supa cheap auto $25 knob.

mine seems real tough but i didnt exactly know how to take it off so didnt want to force it.

so i should just grab it above the black ring, twist hard anti clockwise and pull it up??

wherebouts did you buy the momo knob? i'd love to buy a new knob and a BA one would be sex :sm_drool:

yeah im pretty sure. if my memory serves me correctly (mind you theres been a couple of beers late nights since of done it) just pull and twist.

the black ring i think your refering to is part of the boot bag. dont hold that.

im pretty sure the original ef/el xr knobs are made by momo.
