LWB exhaust to AU2 XR8

Hey guys,

Looking for some advice regarding AU exhausts.

Looking at buying a 2nd hand exhaust system(not headers) for my AU2 XR8 IRS that has been taken off an 02 AU LTD which is a long wheel base.

I have been told that I should just need to shorten the mid section to make it fit which makes sense.

Any thoughts?

Maybe, maybe not. Ford added metal in the wheelbase and at the back. But in theory a cut and shut should make it fit.

You Buying Brandons?

It will fit, just needs a little cutting and shutting, Most exhaust shops should be able to custom fit it

Yeah mate was looking at it, getting the xr8 out of storage next week and it needs a new system from cats.

Haven't seen it in a couple years so will be interesting.
