Looking for a survivor condition EA S as follows: - Factory MPFI (P code) - Factory manual (K code) - Log books to verify mileage - Original paintwork - Prefer yellow, red or white (will consider others) - No modifications - Looking for the best! Have cash! Jon |

That would be a nice car. Be nice to see something original. I would've thought quite unusual to find something unmolested in an EA s pack

Finding an EA "s pack" with all the options will be a tough ask might have to check out the rural classified ads. I saw one in bronze in Quorn SA about 2 weeks ago the first one I've seen in ages.

Yes I saw this one. Its a very original GL with a CFI engine and 5 speed. Way over priced though it is in good condition.
My search continues! |

Have to ask Jon ... what's the fascination with an EA S Pack?
I had a manual silver slate one in the day and it did more laps around Lakeside than I've had hot breakfasts. Got it really handling well after some time and equalled the production class lap record. |

Good question. They were the performance Ford Falcon of the 1988-1991 era and in the right colour a great looking car in my opinion. Extremely hard to find a good one - irrespective of budget - I am still looking!
Somebody must know where there is a good one - how about a $1,000 spotters fee? Come on people! |

Thought the Ed was a heaps better car. To find the bargain cars these days you need to get out there with your cash and buy them off the side of the road - usually from old codgers who don't have the net.

When i first started driving in the mid 90s, a mate got a white EA S pac manual as his first car, it was stock. That thing was a rocket, back in those days not many cars could get near it unless they were old school modified V8s or a HSV of some kind. Even my Cortina 6 which i had struggled to keep up and that was no slouch.
Never really understood why they went so hard. |

I've got an EA S Pack but it's got a small ding or two and a little bit of cancer. All original but in steel blue (I think that's what it's called). The odometer stopped working at about 300,000km and I did about another 50 or so thousand km roughly after that. Been sitting here for about a year, next to a very nice gold coloured 1989 NA Fairlane (3 speed). Both have the motor you're after etc. Both are on dual fuel. I'm in Victoria. Have been wanting to get rid off the cars as they're just sitting there which is a waste of what could be very good cars. I would've thought there'd still be a few EA S Packs around?
Regards, Darren |
