Default !curiosity! noticed ebxr8 has no tickford badging

from what i have read on this forum the xr8 insignia was a tickford joint effort hence the falcon s as well . my xr8 has these badges/stickers but no tickford wings on body or motor . was this an oversight on my car or was that standard for this build date .
febuary 1993

any advice guys/girls would be great

Tickford had little to do with the EB XR8 - the motor was the same as you could get on almost all other Falcon models, and I believe the suspension was optional on basic Falcons too. The first major Tickford model was the Capri Clubsprint. The EB XR6 was their first substantially worked Falcon.

The EB did wear wings, but only on its rocker cover.
EB1 S-XR8, was a Ford car.

Something like
91 EB S-XR8 = Ford

92, series 2
EB XR6/8 = tickford joined the party
But the first xr8 had nothing to do with tickford IIRC.

tkfrd6 : you were spot on , as were the others but i found the laminge brochures on here after this post and then rang a mate at clancy ford and he said exactly what you did , no badging due to indecision at time , but they did the suspension work.

cheers Kev
