after reading some of them stories, im glad somehting like this is/will be coming into effect.

nothing i hate more than a sales person who just doesnt understand the meaning of the word no.

has anyone on here had any probs with buying lemons or other problems with buying a car in general?

would be interesting to hear about them.

More so to cover people that have just been sold duds, and it does happen.

What chance has a individual have against a corporate client without $15k handy for a solicitor?

We as consumers need to be protected!

Bout bloody time, will be excellent if it happens. With the new car market growning very quickly, the need to legislate it has become apparent to the politicians, finally.

The Bracks government doing something POSITIVE for the motorist??? Unbelieveable, nearly fell off my chair.

Similar thing to the last thing happened to Mum and Dad with teh old NL fairlane.

During the warranty period, the Smartlock Actuators went, meaning that everynow and then they would go up and down continuosly.

Everytime we went to ford it came back with a 'Checked for problem, could not reproduce' That was until the warranty ran out. $2000 for the fix.

Mum and Dad cracked it, ford ended up paying the majority of it.

About time this sort of legislation was brought up in parliament. Needs to be a commonwealth law IMO..
