Obviously vintage circa 1929 - 1930's, and could be a fender badge, as Ford used 3 screws to attach the badges on early car/truck fenders.

The key clues would be 3 things:

1. When did Ford first move to using the Ford logo in the oval badges?
(This badge obviously pre-dates that).

2. When did Ford first fit V8's in cars / trucks?

3. Where was it found... In the USA or Australia?... Could give a clue to model.

If you really want the answer, post the photo of it in a US Ford vintage car/truck forum (of which there are a few).

To the right collector, especially restoring a vintage Ford, it would be worth some money.

I've seen rare hard to find original emblems like this sell at auction for $300.

I found it in an antique dealer in Mittagong, they were closing down and had 20% off.
Picked it up for $76.
Probably should of asked them if they knew what it came off but I suspect they wouldn't have known anyway.

I was thinking a truck of some sort too, but haven't found anything in google images thats even similar.

I might have to try one of the vintage car forums.

Associates I have asked seem to think it may be off an early Ford tractor rather than a car, pick-up or truck.

As even the very early vintage Ford cars had either the FORD logo in 'script' writing or in the oval emblem, such as Model A's in the 1930's.

All my own research, has so far come up empty as well.

There may also be the possibility, that it was a homemade 'one-off' casting custom emblem.
