Default Your previous rides?

Seeing as my club involvement has been minimal this year and the Coupe is currently off the road, I thought I would get a thread going.

I found this pic of my old Mark 1 Escort 1300 taken at Echo Point, Katoomba and done up for year 12 car rally in 1989! Has anyone else got some blasts from the past to share?

Old school bordies!

The Escort was a one owner old lady car when I got it in awsome nik. 4spd manual. Was great to hone my driving skills on the fire trails in the Blue Mountains and to school every day down around Leura Cascades. Was still in top condition when i sold it. The bloke who bought it stuffed it, put roof racks on it (rust) and many dents!

One of those wish I still had it cars...

XA coupe, spent thousands. White leather, fluro lemon lime green paint, 460 donk and all the fruit.
Kawasaki 750cc 4 stroke, no bike licence, bad attitude, clocked up many kms.
XY falcon ute 351 windsor toploader and 9 inch
XW fairmont (one owner) bombed 351, currently with top loader (blew 5 C4's in 6 months) 4.55 geared, spooled 9inch
toyota corolla 1975 two door (that we used to jump...like....at speed through the bush over jumps..road registered.....absolute heap of shhhhhhh
Suzuki 250 two stroke rgv (still have) needs resto. Ridden and signed by schwants at philip island moto gp.
1995 Toyota Lexcen (possibly the only lexcen in australia thats driven over 4kms down the beach.......
1981 hilux (one of the best cars I ever owned. I don't think I even serviced it the whole time I owned it)
1991 hilux fully rigged out (sank to the roof 350kms from darwin sunday afternoon Got home the next afternoon (got a ride) pulled it out the following evening....claimed insurance the next day.
XG falcon ute spent over $17000 sold it for $3500 to buy:

Meh, its more the fact which cars i have kept the longest.... AKA none till i got the mont, so its a been there driven that but in the end i found the ONE car. all those cars i had for about 1 to 6 months before i sold them out of dissatisfaction.

To help you understand i used to be a holden man, yes i followed my father and brother, until i owned a couple, in combination of my family ever owning commodores, then to find that fords were way better, more power, more fun, cheaper, family friendly, i was swayed and have been for 2 years now since i bought the fairmont.

And for a note, the 1.6Liter 3spd meteor was THE fastest 4 cylinder iv owned, it done 225kph for 5 kms straight till the next day i found out that buggered the wheel bearings.

Oh and the 83 charade is worth mentioning as the worst and Funnest car i had, u can thrash the crap outta it and whats that i havent used fuel, had that car when i got married, ever wonder why i drive bare foot? its because the charade used to "wash my feet when it rained" i ended up giving it to an uncle as i didnt see it was worth selling

All my cars have got storys to them all, im not proud of them, but when i can say YEAH mr Ricer iv driven a hyundai Scoupe and owned one AND thats the number 1 CRAPPEST car i ever owned...

anyways Ranting here, to put it simple the list is my Rise to ford POWA :evil3: oh and the fact all my cars have been purchased for under 2 grand yes even the mont, wish i got the mont 1st.

Now seriously... Gordon puts up a goofy pic like that, and there are ZERO comments??? Geez people are getting slack ;) LOL! Just kiddin, funny pic Gordo.

I've only had a few cars:

Started with a red '90 EA Falcon GL (yes with the crappy single point engine). Was a good car till I cooked it on the freeway, lol. Got it really cheap too.

In the search for a new motor for that one, I ended up scoring a white '89 EA Falcon S, with 5 speed and multi point engine. Only cost me the money to tow it home! Plus a few $$$ to fix it up for rego. Now that was a pretty cool car for me at the time, and went pretty damn hard too (for an old six anyways)!

That car got stolen and burnt (with no insurance :( ), so dad felt sorry for me and gave me his '94 VR Crummydore wagon to be paid back later. Was an ok car, but confirmed my preference of Fords. Just lots of little things I didn't like (I can vouch for how ordinary the V6 motor and auto are in these... and had to replace both at one stage). The best thing that came from that is the insurance money when it was written off (got hit by a truck while sitting in line at roadworks on the highway - very scary, but luckily we weren't hurt).

With that I bought the red EF Falcon 5 speed that most of you know well.

Then recently sold that for the BF XR6.

I don't have pics around for the older ones, but you all know what the last two look like.
