I'd like to meet you guys as well, but it's a fair way from up here to your part of the country, a couple of hours I think.

Perhaps I might, it would be great to meet some of you nice people. As long as my lack of knowledge isn't a hinderance.

Gotta go to a seminar that morning, so I might be able to come out a bit later.
It depends though, will there be Bananas and Dexron III? I hear that can do wonders for your insides.

Yep many many dishes ive been organising it - so far we have:
Banana fritters with dexron III sauce
Bean and Banana salad with dexron III garlick and herb dressing
and of course the deep fried dexron III coated banana burger
theres also gonna be some KK's and some drinks (original glazed, strawberry filled, custard filled - yep it is that time of the month so therell be some strawberry cruisers too!)
Thats only to name a few but yep your right dexron III does do wonders for your insides thats why there'll be a rodent party and some clunky gearbox inspecting going on post-lunch

You can't expect him to have spent a whole weekend at the drags with the Primer Destroyer 800ks away and not have had some side effects.

Exclamation Details For Cruise Sunday 1st July

Hey all,

Here are the details for the Cruise up the Mountains. Bluehoon came up with the idea, most ppl thought it sounds like a sweet drive so this is what we've decided on.

"Shoot up bells line of road, into lithgow. Go out back of lithgow on a few back roads, maybe even drive to jenolan caves, then come back up great western highway, up mt victoria, across darling causeway, back home bells line of road.
Great pubs, and pie shops on the way too. Ripper apple pie shop at Belpin...

Rather scenic, all sorts of terrain, good roads, and great corners..

Apple pie, nice warm apple pie..." to quote Bluehoon.

The route we plan on taking is far shorter then the Singleton Drive, and given the nature of the drive, there is far more opportunities to stop.

You could get away with 2/3rds of a tank on this trip.

I think the best place to meet wold be on Windor Rd somewhere out near Rouse Hill. If anyone know's of a place where a group of ppl can meet then plz post.

Be sure to bring UHF/CB's, if there is a channel we normally sit on plz tell me as i'm not sure.

Hopefully quite a few ppl will be able to make it!

Any other qu's plz dont hesitate to ask....

Thanks guys

Woo hoo ... Bells Line is fun ... seeing as I live just about on it ... it's a quick trip up to Lithgow ... doesn't take too long ... unless you get stuck behind a truck though.

If you want a nice long drive ... head up to Coffs harbour and then head up to Bellingen/Dorrigo ... across to Ebor and then onto Armidale/Tamworth ... and then head back back home again ... it's a nice evening drive.

Even heading down to Queanbeyan ... then across to Bungendore and then onto Batemans bay ... then back up the coast ... it's a bit quicker ... also a nice evening drive as well.

That's a little bit more than an evening drive Simon !!!! Best part of 8 hours driving in that trip. :eclipsee_ It is a good drive across from Bungendore to Batemans Bay though.

hee hee ... I've done it in an evening/night ... yeah 7 to 8 hours drive ... but well worth it though ... some lovely stretches of road ... Government bend in rain/fog can be nasty though.

I have done those drives, and they are damn good fun. Pity you're talking 2-3 day trips.. Bellingen / Dorrigo to from coffs to Armidale is a ***** but... Verty twisty, windy and hilly roads...

Cheers
