Default BF Barra Wagon Mods/Tuning???

Hey guys i dropped in the other day asking about tuning my BF Barra WGN for E10/ or 95Ron fuel with full extractors/hi flow Cat and 2.5 inch exhaust system.

You guys don't recommend 95Ron which confuses me???

You also mentioned your own designed Cold Air Intake should be fitted.

Redback extractors and hi flow Cat are getting fitted on Tuesday morning.

I'm not sure i want to spend 1k on tuning for 98 Ron fuel.

I'm now thinking i will buy and fit your CAI kit myself....(I'm a mechanic) and see how it goes with just 91RON as it was originally designed to run on???

I only drive it on weekends.

What do you guys think???

O.k guys the Redback extractors and a Hi Flow Cat got fitted this morning.

Not much torque difference under 3,000rpm but after that it's much better.

Buying and fitting another members BPRD CAI that he had fittted to his BF 3V V8.

(may need some mods to fit my 4.0 Barra engine???)

I've decided i want to go for full dyno/ECU tune on 98 fuel as you guys recommended.

Gotta wait about 2 months to get another day off work.

How much for full 98 dyno/ECU tune with CAI already fitted???

Hey Theo thanks for the reply!

This BF V8 BPRD CAI i'm buying from another member will need a new rubber intake pipe from the Pod filter to the I6 4.0 throttle body.

Will get you guys to supply and fit the pipe and also fit the CAI box if you have some spare time soon if thats possible???.

I'm not going to bother with tuning for 98 fuel as my tax return has nearly run out already and I've been thinking its not really worth it for such an old model???

I'm definately up for paying you guys to fit the CAI properly though.

Thanks Theo you guys swapped the 3v intake pipe for my 4.0 Barra one which was much much shorter.

Will be fitting it all on Saturday morning and test driving for the rest of the day.

Thanks again guys!!!
