Default v8 question el/f vs AU

ok so my question is this, i can get my hands on a couple of 5L 302w engines but there all from EL/F's for around $650 - $800, is there any majour diffrence between them and the AU ones? (not including the 220kw)

i know the come with dizzys and not coil packs other then that is there much diffrence and would it be much to wire/instlall it compared to an AU (i know the ECU would be diffrent)

Yep, the top end (heads, cam, manifold etc) is totally different - the E series V8s are a step back compared to an AU V8. The E series ones dont have much more power than your AU I6.

They have less power, I did this years ago on the dyno.
E series V8's are total dogs in standard form.

On paper it is 165kw compared to 157kw for the I6. I'm not going around in circles with you but that is the basis of the comment.

Base AU V8 is 175kw.
BUT, change the cam and give it a tune and you'll pickup bulk power.

I know where you can get your hands on a 200 or a 220 AU V8.

Brad. If you've still got my number, give me a buzz and we'll have a chat mate.
I can sort out a complete AU tickford V8 conversion. Everything you'll need basically..
Cheers
