What you saw was the new Mondeo. Ford has a LHD one that has been around for a while and is constantly being driven.

Forget the Vignale, it would be nice if the new Falcon had 2007 MA Mondeo spec.

Back in 2007 when we bought our Zetec (middle of range) Mondeo new it had:
- front and rear parking sensors
- heated front seats
- auto windscreen wipers
- auto up/down on all windows
- global window open/close via key remote
- voice control for audio, climate and phone
- 7 airbags
- a proper sound system with quality head unit and speakers
- dual zone climate
- etc

I would hope the new base model Falcon has all of the above 2007 specs.

I reckon that out of that list you will maybe get the 7 airbags in a new base model Falcon. Forget the rest. Even the G6E won't get some of those goodies.

Those carsguide photos are probably the best we've seen of the new headlights. I'll have to look around on line and see if I can find some higher definition versions of them.

Surely the G6ET will also get the normal gearbox (not Chinese crap)?

Shame there hasn't been more effort put into the interior though, but better a slightly upgraded new model than no model I guess.

So are they using the exact same spec ZF that they've used from BF-FG in the Fh xr6t and Xr8 ? Or something newer?

Foreign-owned Chinese companies? Maybe-yes.

Chinese-owned Chinese companies? Not at all.

Just wait for all the problems these will have once Ford Australia jumps ship.

So it might just be FG3. Will have minor changes.

Chinese made ZF's, but performance models get the German ZF. Speaks volumes for the quality of the Chinese if they can use Chinese versions of the ZF in performance models.

I suspect ZF China doesn't manufacture the higher torque boxes- there's nothing in their market that would need them.

For me, personally, the debate about the transmissions is academic because if I get one it will be a manual. But I was under the impression the hi-po models will be retaining the existing ZF and only the n/a models get the Gen II trans.
