Default My major body mod, Tomorrow 29/10

As i have mentioned to a few, Im under going a major body mod... Tomorrow.

Yes all the weeks of waiting are almost over and im all excited with anticipation
Well, half excited, A bit scared and little WTF still about how it works.

For the first time since the 3rd Grade, no glasses on my face again :
And if i do it'll be a week prescription, for reading only im told.
Or unless its a pair of Oaklies, I too can now buy expensive sunglasses and loose or break them, Haha

I keep thinking the LASIK Surgery is going to be like a bad case of welding flash, LOL :P

Thanks guys, The reality is starting to sink in.

The not having to put them on, take them off, the worry of loosing them, like on rides at amusement parks, stuff like that or the general breakage issue should they come off... LOL and the threat of a 2 year old :P
As i've found out more recently.

Cool

Best of luck mate. I remember when the receptionist at work had it done. It was weird seeing her without her glasses for a couple of days till we got used to it ...

Have fun shopping for those Oakelys

Best of luck.
I wore glasses for thirty years and have now been without them for eight years, thanks to laser surgery. Money well spent IMO.
I reckon you will be amazed at how good the eye chart looks tomorrow when you go for your checkup.
Buying the brand name fashion sunnies was high on my list of things to do back then also. LoL.

Its funny that part.

My first quote in Y2K was $6800 for both eyes.

And my eyes were pretty bad, made worse by a fairly nasty astigmatism(left eye).
My Doctor even said my right eye was bad, the left "Terrible", put me off a little.

But still i wanted to go ahead with it, I've been talking about it since i found out about it and had seen the results. One of my parents friends son, had his done a few years ago. He was so blind that he couldnt shave his own face in the mirror. And went from only washing cars(for years) at the local Ford dealer ship to working in their service dept. He no longer needs anything to assist him.

So yeah, back to the original question.
One of my workmates was reading a magazine and found a special going for 2weeks only at the time. I got both done for $2500. Their site: http://www.aies.com.au

That money i was initially putting away for a XR6T, then this popped up. So i seized the opportunity.... Then there's the XC. It smells money

Well this morning i had my post op check up.
They Doc was quite impressed with the outcome given my high prescription, said that healing is going better than expected.

A few more days of minor cloudiness and all shall be cleared up

As MYV8 said, wished i had of done it sooner... But with the money saved. All good
