Default hi!

hey guys im a bundy boy.. i own an ef falcon. i have owned it for 3 months (bought it from the brissy auctions) and i had completely destroyed the engine =( it seems that the previous owner had some radiator problems-- those being massive holes. and decided to patch it up with bog....) any how i will be fixing it up at my uncles car yard in maryborough tommorrow and thursday. and then again the following week. i am wondering if anyone has any idea on what mods i should do to it for some decent power increases.. i have a budget-- for now but long term ideas would be muchly appreciated. anyway when im done i would love to go for a cruise- if im welcome.

c y'as

hi there- you are certainly more than welcome to come along sometime and see what you think of our club. in our meets & events section you will notice we have a club run to woodgate on the 25th of this month. feel free to meet us in woodgate if you like and meet some of us and our cars.

as for the mods to your ef, i couldn't really offer anything helpfull as i've not yet modded one. if you check out the ozecruisers section http://www.fordforums.com.au/forumdisplay.php?f=62 you should find some helpfull advice.

best of luck with the repairs and future mods and keep us updated on your progress

thanks guys. its a shame though as i work every sunday which is probably no good. have you all been cruising in bundy thursday nights? any way i sourced a new engine for $450 second hand- the downside being that it will be shipped from brissy and will be a suprise to see the condition that it is in. lol. new radiator 200. and im contemplating on a lukey 2.5 exhaust system. its good to be connected =) my uncles all have there dealer licenses so i pick cars up fairly cheap. another one works at a mechanics shop and i work at a car parts store. its a good life. =) also how would i go about creating my own air box?.. im thinking of making one out of steel and have it looking like it is part of the cars body. just a touch of spot welding here and there. and if anyone knows whether or not a k&n filter designed for my car would reap more power than a k&n pod in an airbox. anyhoo just small ideas. the ef wont be done as well as my next project car... hopefully an mk2 or 3 escort. i may be able to get 2 eskies for 500 bucks. i just hope that it goes as planned. so any one who knows anyone who wishes to sell an escort please get in contact with me... later guys!! :

Have a look on eBay - lots of people selling packages that will deliver fairly cheaply. Search for "Typhoon wheel" and you'll get ones for pre-AU in 18 and 19". Email them to see what a package is worth. Sometimes it's even cheaper than using someone local.

Cheers again

so, $1700 from eBay, minus what you can get for your wheels. I'm sure that you can get better than $200 for them. Hell, I'll give you more than that for them!

Cheers

i spoke to continental tyres today ! they said 2000 for a full package ! with that brand new silca tyres gt brand ! i check out more about that tyre and rim package on ebay ! those tyres arnt any good in the wet ! so i have you spend 1800 on the best tyre package they have !! plus 200 delivery ! that 1700 dollars was just the very basic package deal that they have going atm !

I'd look at what comparable ones are going for on eBay. Surely you can get more than $200. I'd say at least $400.

Cheers

I've just seen a set on eBay - 16 inch CSAs for $225 buy it now. The tyres are described as barely roadworthy. Yours are quite new from memory. Maybe $400's ambitious, maybe not.

Cheers

Yes the spacers are illegal (as are 90% of E series with after market wheels : ), if you want to do it legally you wont be able to use these rims but it sounds like you knew that already :
