Default Interesting Difference

Hi
I went over to see Tripe's Fiesta and compare our misfire problems and one interesting difference we noticed in our two cars was the seat belts. My Fiesta (built in May2004) has the adjustable hight function, but Tripe's one (built in January 2005) hasn't. Both are the same models but there is a major interior difference between them. Anyone else out there with an LX that doesn't have it? What about you Zetec owners?
Would be interesting to know...
Cheers

Jason

Taken from Ford: "Front seat belts: inertia reel with pretensioners (and height adjustment on 5 door models)"

But, considering you have a 3 door Jason, this is odd.... My zetec (built July 04) doesnt have the height adjustable as well!

Amazing! It may be a different batch or something. Maybe Australian design and safety rules changed the design. Maybe they are just cutting corners to save that $1000 they marked the cars down to compete with the Barina. Mine cost $14990 (standard, but actually cost me $19750) but they now cost $13990, maybe that is part of the cost cutting...
Another difference was the bonnet latch, mine is welded into the bonnet (and is integral you could not remove it) but Tripes 05 model was a separate part that bolted on via a plate. It was really interesting to see differences in the same car, same model, just a few months apart.

Damn Ford cost cutting :

I took Redstar71's Fiesta for a spin and noticed straight away how easy it was to reach the seatbelt! Also, his car felt smoother and quieter to drive and the gearshift was excellent... I hope my Fiesta feels like that as it frees up and gets more kms on it :

Default Another difference...

Jason, here is that Fiesta LX I was telling you about with the different wheel trims. I like majormajor's wheel trims better, wonder how come mine never had these fitted? There not that much different but they look sportier imo. I like the silver Fiesta colour too, looks a lot easier to keep clean lol.
