Default 550rwkw TT BOSS

Today my new engine and TT set up made a very comfortable 550rwkw at 18psi thanks to Autotech. We are not pushing it, instead keep it safe with the tuning. The car is running on 98. Spiro is particually happy how well balanced and refined new engine performs.

The car will be ready for road testing next week, once a few minor adjustments have been made.

As you can see below, the car is also punching out a lot of torque. 110-130km/h will be interesting.

Thats just mental.

Getting power is one thing, but the process this car has been through is just about second to none. Well done, look forward to seeing what is in store for the future.

Now let's see how she copes with the daily grind Paul, that.s the next test!

So happy for you mate the hardwork, the highs, AND the lows are now all behind you and the TT is punching out the big numbers.

You have neglected to provide a road report yet, and this must be addressed sooner than later hahaha. I imagine it's a rather swift way to roll, understatement of 2012?

Where did the dyno days "additional" power come from, did you put another pound of boost into it?

So pleased for you mate, I've been smiling since you posted this thread.

Many thanks Tex.

The car will be fine for every day use, it has been designed mainly for that purpose.

I am very happy with the how the car is performing on 98. The power delivery is crazy and I will need to be careful.

Certainly will give a run down when I get beind the wheel. There's a few things that need to be sorted out first. I want the car 100% before delivery.

Nothing was done since yesterday in terms of tuning. The car's final power level yesterday was after being on the dyno for a while.

Below the power comes on similar to yesterday, with just a bit of extra kick. Tires decided to spin at 140-150km/h!!!! Torque getting on for 14000 N.

I was great to her on the dyno with other Ford fans. At idle she's sounds like a stocker. But man gets your attention at full noise!

Saw the car at Autotech today, you must be pleased with the power result.

But also the work that has gone into the engine to make it look as good as it does is a credit to the Autotech team. So neat and tidy.

When you live in Sydney, the fastest you can get to is 50km/h...

This car really is a credit to both Paul, and Spiro/the boys at Autotech... Can't wait to see it push out some serious numbers once it's run in Paul

Well done Paul, great result mate for 18 pounds, took my little 4.6 24psi and that was still just 538.... But what's 40kw between tyre companies?

Looking forward to the road test so you can report the 4th gear acceleration test hahaha

Coming to the drag nats bud?

Daniel

Thanks Daniel.

Power is not an issue. And one of these days I would like to pull off a 1000+rwhp run, perhaps the next Autotech Dyno day for all to see. Perhaps with Big Joes GT would make a fun event!!

The car was road tested yesterday by Daniel at Autotech in dry conditions. He reported no issues what so ever. And confirmed the car has excellent street manners, with awesome instant response. He found with the low boost (I’m unsure what power level this is, but suspect in the mid 400’s at 12psi) he managed to get power down very well, and minimal loss of traction in second gear…Dunlop’s must be working well. He said the car felt fast. High boost…like an animal, enough said.

As much as I would love to catch up with you guys this weekend, I won’t be there.

awesome , im posting in this thread so i can track its progress . imagine a car that is variable at the drivers hands , and we'll just crank it down to 50% and keep the tyres gripping so we can beat everything out there . and feeling a little frisky today , might just go out to the track and turn the boost up a bit after i hit 150kms /hr / LOL

i think you need to see this then (well sort of it has a alloy block but not sure if its still al 5.4? maybe some can help, but i think its the SCJ 5.4l motor)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4QOFCNmhiGw

916rwhp= 673rwkw

and this was when it had the cast block 5.4l
533rwkw
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pDNSb...eature=related

but i can see the TT beating this in the future
