Agree with exception of Lee. Sure, he's a loose cannon but the intimidation factor is priceless. A good session from Lee is worth a few boundaries and a few no balls IMO. And dammit - it's just great to watch the guy bowl.

Shake up needed at the top of the order, the older guys are getting complacent *cough* hayden *cough*... maybe some more incentive based pay is needed instead?? also seems like we've lost a bit of sparkle in the field.

Sure it sucks getting your *** served to you on a plate by the poms, but you have to admit - it's been one of the most enthralling ashes series for some time. Many a late night before work sitting on the edge of the seat. It's really worth watching.

Long live test match cricket.

C'mon Aussie c'mon c'mon ,

0-112 rain and bad light has stopped play and stopped the aussies , can they do it ?
I think the plan would be to just bat once from here and give themselves a day and a session to bowl out the poms on a fading 5th day wicket , this could also be set up for the Shane Warne swansong in ashes history.

NOTHING IS OVER !!!

Well rain delayed start to day three..were doing alright...rain stops play day three...if this does'nt look like nature giving it to the poms...I'm concerned its going to be a draw which means poms get the Ashes back....bugger..bugger..bugger.

A new era for Aus cricket id say, some new blood needed.

I pitty the fool who doesn't like cricket. (wether the sport or the insect)

Btw: Lee/Pointing should be shot for the overs after the 1st session. Really, consider that before the drinks England were on the back foot. So what a retared idea to go and give the ball to somone who doesnt have a test cricket brain.

Lee's mentality is allong the lines of if i bolwed a bad bowl and got hit for 6, hang on why dont i bowl at that place all the time. MORON

England completly outclassed Australia anyway. Looks like my bet is going to pay well when i go to the TAB today

Congrats need to be handed out to the poms, they played brilliantly. As much as I was waiting for them to be bowled out early this morning then the aussie's could come in and make a quickfire 250 or so, their batsmen played well. It's been said that Flintoff could be the best player in the world at the moment, and they have 2 other strike bowlers that are nearly as good as him, while the rest oif the team all chipped in with good performances. Warne played excellent the last couple of tests, it's unusual he could take 11 and 12 wickets in a test yet lose the series

Put simply they played better, and while i didnt like the result it was a great series to watch!

Much as it hurts to say... they deserve it.

Besides half the team isn't even English so what do you expect! Of course they will do better than the previous teams.

Yes, the did deserve the win. Outplayed us the whole series after Lords.

Brett Lee wasn't as bad as you are making out Walkinshaw, sure his 3 overs after lunch the final day were terrible, but you only have to look at a few of the brilliant spells he bowled during the other tests to see how valuable he is. Sure, he is going to get smashed from time to time, but you have to expect that with Lee. He can however really turn it on though and scare batsmen, something you cannot deny, and is hard to put a price on. Just needs to learn to bowl like that more consistently (which is a mix of giving him appropriate rest and setting the correct fields).

Fortunately I only know 2 poms, so it shouldn't be too bad. Although one of them just started at work.

Congratulations to the poms, and I want to thank them. This is the catalyst I have been crying out for for a long long time to give a shake-up to our team. Finally, lets hope the selectors use their brains.

I have to say Lee impressed me with some of his bowling when you could see he was trying his heart out. The 4th test when the Poms had to get 120 odd, Lee was steaming in and you could see the adrenalin when he knocked over Flintoff's off stump. His batting was also brilliant and the amount of hits he took was just crazy. I have a lot of respect for him now.
