Default Best Place for Body Kits

Hey, can anyone tell me a good place to get a body kit or at least a front bar for my EF.

I have seen a few types of Ef body kits but Im not a fan... is there any places that do different ones.. but of course for the cheap!

Cheers

Adam from Kurnell Kustoms (FTF member and Falkeen here on the forums) is in the process of making BA / BF Boss bonnets for E series cars. Quality is fantastic and at a good price.

hey woolz, this is how the bulge is going to look (did a test with adam a while ago).

as for a body kit, just depends what you want. Unfortunately the nice looking kits (BA adaptations for e-series) are expensive, and anything cheap will be.. well.. cheap.

That bonet looks sweet.
I am really keen to get this, but am unsure about a fibre glass bonnet. Please correct me if it will be made from something else.

I have a fibre glass front bar on my car (EL Venom XR front bar) and it has developed hairline cracks around the headlight holes. The rest of my kit is plastic / resin injected and is fine.

The car has never been in an accident, so I am attributing it to wear and tear.

Woolz, I hate to break it to you, but as with most thing automotive related, the more you spend, the better it gets.

it will be fibre glass elliot (ps. long time no speak). but since its just purely fibre glass and not fibreglass on metal, it's gonna be a schmick piece of work!

plus if i recall correctly, adam is going to make sure they are very durable. so the end product is going to be very good quality.

I was told that the fibreglass bonnets warp after a while cause of engine heat, can anybody clear this up for me?

Fox, the problems happen when you have a mix of metal and fibre glass.

it happens because the figbre glass and metal expand and contract @ different rates/temperatures so you get warping as a result.

Since adam is going to the effort of making the entire bonnet fibreglass rather than just the bulge, this won't occur

Cool thanks for the info.
I have one nice stone chip in the bonet that bugs me everytime I look at it. Seems like the perfect excuse...

Dave, I assume your car is first in line for one of these?

There's a thread somewhere in the e-series section about this right?
I'll have to check it out and see what the bank balance says.

Fox, i think you'd be able to get a xr8 bonnet put straight on (no fuss no worries) but make sure of that before you do it of course...

I'm actually selling the car soon elliot, so unsure of whether ill buy one, but there will definitely be one on display this weekend @ AFD.

And yes there is a thread in e-series general chat

Could it be that after a few rides in Matt's XR6T you have been convinced that there is better model out there than the E-series Falcon? Say it aint so!

Well, hope it all goes well for you and you get a good price. Nice car, so you should.

I'll keep on flying the E-series flag.

haha yeah elliot, i honestly have to get my hands on a BF xr6t with 6spd auto.. its not a a want.. it's a need!!!

bunter, it's only for the ef/l but im sure that adam would consider doing them for ea/ed if it was feasable (ie. enough people interested to make it worth while)
