G'day All,

Having a problem with the wiper infront of the driver position. It does not wipe very good in the middle of the wiper. Below and above is perfect. But, right where i'm looking it's not. Any sugestions?.

Get some better wiper blades. Also check to see there isn't anything stuck on the blade. I get those needle type leaves stuck in my wipers sometimes and it damn annoying.

On the subject of wipers, mine froze to the window yesterday & when I turned them on it twisted the arm.
Ford want $116 for a new arm & blade :
So I just bent it back as best I can. Doesn't wipe as well but it'll do for now.

To Whopper: I have the same issue with my blades.
I've just bought new ones from Repco, and they don't clear all the water from the middle of the blade.

I have minimised the issue by putting 'Rainex' on the windscreen. This means I don't have the use the wipers as much (longer life), but it also means that the small amount of water left in the middle disappears pretty quickly, so you don't notice it much.

To kiwijohn42: As far as replacing arms go, ford can be pretty expensive as they are with most of their replacement stuff (it's all in the brand name), but you might be able to go to another auto shop (in my case Repco) and they may be able to do something for you, and little cheaper, and better than "bending it back"...
I guess the other thing is...check if your screen is frozen before you wipe...or better still, look after you little Ka and stick it in the garage.
(Kick the BMW out if you have to!)

BMW in the garage? Wish I had either, though I'd be more than happy with a garage.
Anyhoo, tracked down some LS Focus style wipers at Supercheap. Made by Aunger for $19.95 a pop. I'd prefer the Bosch ones they had, but they didn't come in a 400mm (you need a 400 & a 550 or 560mm).
Got some Rainex too, but it hasn't stopped raining long enough for me to apply it.

Bosch Aerotwins, I had on my Focus. I can clearly say they are the best wipers I have ever put on my car. You can buy them from Supercheap Auto for about $22 a blade. Bit expensive but best money I have ever spent.

Here is a link to the Bosch page: http://www.bosch.com.au/content/language1/html/5534.htm

That's the ones, alas they don't make a 400mm.
Ultra blades are the next best thing.
