Hi everyone!
We have just moved over to Australia from the UK (my wife is an Aussie). Picked up a nice 2012 XR6 last week, the type of car you would never dream of owning over there....

Hi from Keith, I live in Ngapuhi Land and Ive always had a Ford, did a spray painting apprenticeship in NZ's largest Ho¥d€n dealer at the time and endured 5 yrs of cr@p. First Ford was a twin spinner followed by most models of FALCONS. Currently modifying an 05 4.0 wagon as funds allow, just taking my time, reading up on other peoples experiences. Im acquiring bits n pieces with the goal of supercharging, looking for an affordable caliper upgrade, LSD, XR interior at the moment. So far collected dds rotors, safe brake hoses, 3" cat back exhaust n headers, bilsteins to suit stock height kings fr, dropped rear 2" with added leaf, a full set of suspension n steering bushes, 20% under drive pulleys, trans cooler, rebuilt engine to suit, not looking for a race car (its a wagon eh) just something different. Ive been browsin this site for some time, really good info here, cheers

I'm guessing that you would want the AU sections?

Go to either the AU Falcon.com forum.... https://www.fordforums.com.au/forumdisplay.php?f=241

or the AU-BF forums.... https://www.fordforums.com.au/forumdisplay.php?f=241

Click the "New Thread' button on the left near the top of the screen and post away.

Cheers for the welcome (from Brisbane).

I've just picked up an XB Falcon Ute 1975 and thought I would add myself to this website so when I need advice I can jump on here and ask.
I've been a ford man all my life but not long ago sold my XR6 for a navara (to tow the boat). Looking forward to reading some of the threads.

Hi from the Sunshine Coast Hinterland.
Just picked up my a 2011 SZ diesel, complete with DTC P0490 not a big deal, but, after it was delivered, I found I had been granted several free optional extras: U 0073, U0121, U 2005., and of course, the DSC fault indication, which should disappear when U 0121 is cleared ???
Off to the beach!

G'day all, Jim from Campbelltown NSW here.
Been looking through the forums for answers for a little while now, always found the right answers, lots of knowledge here.
I kick around in a 2007 BF2 XT that I've tarted up a little, I like it and it doesn't attract attention from Plod.
Keep the info flowing.
Cheers.

Hi my name is Greg and I'm from Adelaide. Just bought my first ford a few weeks ago. It is a 2008 territory. Have only ever had commodores before. I bought it cheap as it has a few small problems which I hope I can get advice for on this forum. Thanks in advance

Hi folks thank you for the welcome. Nice to find an interesting forum like this.
I enjoy fishing and lure making forums and there is so much to be gained from the right people.
I have been driving Fords for well over 40 years and have recently picked up a Territory.
Good car, but it will have to be good to beat the Falcon EL (bullet proof)
My old EL has over 300 thousand on the speedo and does not burn oil.
Well here's hoping for the latest purchase.

Regards to all,
Gordon.

Welcome aboard!

I'm sure many QLD members could use your services, especially if you add to this thread which is right up your alley....

https://fordforums.com.au/showthread...05#post5986305

Maybe you could explain what sort of dents can be fixed or not and associated rough costs?

Smile Re: Welcome to New Members - Post here to say gday!

Hi everyone, thanks for accepting me to your forum.
Just a bit about me, I'm in my mid fifties and have been a lover of Aussie muscle cars since my teens . I still have my Lh Torana I bought at about 18 , and we bought my Dads Xy fairmont 20 years ago shortly after our oldest son was born. He is getting married at the end of the year and the motor is out and needs a rebuild so we can use it for his wedding car. It is a windsor 302 with rebuilt c4 , was running edlebrock torquer with 650 Holley and extractors, electronic distributor and 2.92 diff.
I just want to use it as a cruiser, it has factory air and power steer. I am looking for some suggestions as to cam choice. I have standard heads recoed for unleaded and have purchased some yella Terra roller rockers. What cam and other mods would be good for torque, without changing torque converter. Don't drag race, just a weekend cruiser. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Peter.

Question Re: Welcome to New Members - Post here to say gday!

Hi all , my project is an xg Brunswick paddywagon petrol/gas It's been sitting for 3 years as the top of the A pillars we're cracked & leaking water ( been through the corroded bem module Location replacement to the glovebox ) then the cracked windscreen due to humidity & moisture - unregisterable so finally after 3yrs got the screen out & a mate to braise the cracked joint where the panno roof overlaid what was a ute roof . These where factory conversions for the police . So rust removal & a bit of new paint in the area got the new windscreen in . Next problem starting her - cleaned out the fuel tank from the top the filter sock on the electronic pump has disintegrated into the tank, got a replacement & new in line filter might fill the tank disconnect the old inline filter & run the old electric pump with new filter sock to flush out the left over debris already wiped it out a couple of times . Had a problem trying to start it last time it got moved 2 yrs ago so I figure a new battery & starter relay might be a good start . The blokes have been sitting around drinking beer giving me all the good oil as I do the work , well it is my car & they're all past working on other people's cars & im learning a lot so it's cool , these forums are a great source of knowledge. My question for the moment is where does the starter relay go , which one is it ? & are there 2 . What else could I do to give me a good chance of hearing that motor when I turn the key ? Besides top up all the fluids & reprogram the bem I know that will be a Pia . All advice gratefully recieved
