Could someone be able to tell me if i was to remove the factory radio it has security on it, i was told it may affect the starting of the car , myself i dont think it would as i want to install a cd player in the car.

He may have got confused because the radio has security coding.
Of course the CD playa will work. if you need the wiring diagrams, i have them here.
