proves that there are some "freak" engines out there ...

also whats the cam profile of a HP cam?

I hear rumours that left over development cams were used in some of the last tickford cars ...

Well done mate. That car is just so good. You would expect it to go 15.3 or thereabouts so its a GOOD ONE.

Just leave that engine alone and get some decent extractors and a unichip

Im sure g&d are excellent at what they do but if I had that car I would not put a regrind in it at all.Leave it alone.

Chip it/ good extractors and you will have awsome times.Me and JonBays have discovered sometimes greed kills....kills power that is. :1syellow1

hey stiddy good job, as for keeping up with the V8's ive got a stockish forte with the only mod being LSD and 3.7;s and i ran a 15.096 and my mate in a ef II XR8 ran a 15.069 both manual. what can i say i love my 3.7's. and i rekon i can bust into the 14's with a better launch cause i launched at 2800 rpm

What did you launch at??? and is yours manual?

hey man thanks,
Yep its a manual and I'd love a set of 3.7's would launch like crazy and really get me into the 14's rather then just a 14.9..

i usually let it go from about 4000rpm, i slip it till revs drop to 3500rpm and then dump it and flatten it.. works for me 2.10 60ft time... gets a touch of wheelspin, then drops the *** and im away..

3.7s arent all they are cracked up to be.I gained a bigger difference with xorst.I do believe that the forte is the lightest car of the au range..but I have been incorrect before.

3.7 LSD is a great mod for Auto AU fortes or e series GLi's with 3.08 diffs it makes heaps of difference.

Manuals run 3.23 so not so much difference really.

These are good runs there for both cars which you would have to be happy with mid 15's mostly stock

mate you've been bitten hard. Just don't get too disappointed along the way as it gets harder and harder to get those few tenths and it can cost a lot of money
