Default FG F6 Query

Do any members have Fg F6's? If so are they tuned? Did you have to change valve springs?

I heard something about the Valve springs in the FG series that they were not the best, in order for ppl not to push more power out of them. Not sure how true this is, but FORD(if ur reading), it still aint gonna stop ppl from changing their springs to a/m ones.

Not sure, I have the feeling early FG's were ok but later ones not. Maybe Ford has changed something. I am sniffing around, seeing if I can find out.

Jase mate keep in mind that standard you're pushing close to the power figures where the springs needed replacing anyway on earlier models, so maybe it's not so much they're weaker but just not up to the task with the extra power off the floor.

In saying that though, knowing the power figures you're hunting I'd be doing them anyway.
