Default Dyno Results

ok, so i had the car dyno tuned today by matt (bullet performance) with my eliminator chip. will post up dyno sheet later if i can get scanner working.

i got 155rwkw with an intake temp of 37 degrees. car had run 26 times on dyno so the engine bay was HOT AS!. so that power figure with that intake temp and no pinging was awesome! cant wait for dalton dyno day where i might be able to run the car a little coooler and crack 160rwkw. shouldnt be too hard at all.

ive picked up an extra 25 odd kw in the mid range compared to old tune which is unbelievable. A/F sits very steady and car now idles SPOT ON.

matt done a great job and was very professional. id recommend him to anyone wishing to have their e-series tuned with a j3 style chip.

post any comments or questins you might have. cheers guys. :

Hey - if some one would get off his *** I may be in the game as well.................... lol

26 runs on the Dyno - you must have a strong car - mine would have broekn by then...........

155rwkw is a good outcome - with everything done to your car i can only wish to be up there :(

Unless my intercooling pipes come............lol

Has Matt got one of those infrared temp gauge thingys?

How does it feel on the road now?

Also do you have a Mr Swan Head on your beasty?

car on the road is so much btter in low and mid range. and throttle rsponse is WAY better.

now i have to squeeze some more out. maybe some paccey comp extractors? and colder intake temps!

i'm sure someone will correct me if i'm wrong but i'm pretty sure the dyno compensates for high temp readings and spits out higher rwkw figures. a cooler I.T. could actually result in a lower reading. 37deg isn't that high though.

yes it does. but not by very much.

chris dalton (dalton automotive) said they have put it in the exhaust before with massive temps read, and all it did was raise the rwkw figure by 3 rwkw.

so i dont think this is an issue here.

and yes 37 degrees is very hot for an NA car with bonnet open.

lol My XR6 is stock atm
It might.... Just might get a cam and 2 new welsh plugs so I can get to the dyno day.

I have not driven the car in about 3 - 4 weeks ... Now I see water under the exhaust side of motor ...thats 1 plug .. had a look over the car doing some thinking and see another plug all gummed up ... a bit of a scratch and water is there as well .....
I will have to remove both manifolds to do these plugs .... I just hope I have time.

Yeah was a good Day

Manuals are always going to pull more rwkw's but if I lose my Auto and Stall Convertor and add a Cold Air Intake I would be up there

So all things considered Good Result from an Auto

Holy moly.. I need head from Swanny!

Eh, I think my engine suffered from the constant abuse I gave it while it was blown. Not quite as healthy as it once was. Nevermind, next rebuild will include a worked head.
