Just an addition to this as it is still tourist season.

When you are at your camp site at night and you hear the AGL rescue chopper and can see its nav lights, strobe and landing lights as it tries to land and pick up some poor bugger who may be in a very bad way:

DO NOT SHINE YOUR 1000000000000 WATT SPOTLIGHT AT THE PILOT.......

Bloody morons on Fraser endangered both the crew and the patient with their stupidity.

On a different note.

We had kids throwing rocks off a over head train bridge here in the city, one went through a window and hit a lady in the forehead, she ended up in Sydney hospital, Police was called, then got away with a warning, meanwhile a lady is in a bad condition in Sydney Hospital.

Police don't always take things serious, even when they are.

It is not that the police don't take it seriously, just the court system lets them down. The 'kids' would end up in court and cost taxpayers more money only to get a warning from a judge. Recently a 13 year old boy stabbed some random woman, after being charged 6 times for similar acts. The courts let him off each time.

That really annoys me! Surely she could open a civil case against them? Sue for damages? Press charges etc.

No idea what happened. I read in the news paper a big "protest" against it as nothing ever happened about it. Never heard anything since, that was around 1 year ago.

she can't 'press charges' but yes like anyone she could try to sue for damages herself via court.
But with no guarantee of winning and against kids anyway so what $ would she expect from them.
Plus court would cost her $ to try
