Those prices seem pretty good. (US dollars even) as there is a lot of planning & work involved. Just hope postage isn't a killer.
Might eventually be keen for a set of EB/D lights with a slight smoke finsh to them.

As long as clear isn't like rice clear, I'd be happy with all clear.

But some kind of picture as to what it will look like, even a photoshop is a must before I can commit.

The clear will depend on how the stock lens is made.
So if there are deflectors in the back, then it wont be see through.
If its a totaly smooth surface, then you will be able to see right through it.

I can do some photoshop for you guys in a few days, im away from home for the weekend but when i get back ill post some pictures.

also shipping on those shouldnt be too bad, probably 10-15$ to u.s and canada.

As far as I know there are just the 2 pictured lenses on the site, but they do look damn good.

I can see why the E series lights are a major headache in comparison with the reflectors etc.

Also, I've been informed that the EB lights are clear with the orange and red filter inside. The problem is that there is no way to remove the lense without damaging them, unless someone can find a chemical to react with the sealant or a specialised tool. Because the lights are inexpensive I think the technique of destroying a housing to remove/modify the lense, then destroying an lense to reinstall the new housing is the recommended option for EB owners. I might even get a bunch of EB lights and have a go myself for resale.

I'm still interested in the EA lights though. Just to clarify, they are interchangable but do not match the EA garnish, and I do not wish to change to an EB garnish. Even though there are reversing lights in the EA lights, we'd still only need half clear half red for the lenses so it should be as easy as EB ones would be. Because we'd be unlikely to get 5 EA owners willing to do it, I'd probably have to save up longer and do it when I can afford to. I'll make further enquiries with Klearz then.

Cheers all!

there might be a small problem with the eb.
I see there is a middle strip down the center.
we can either clear it out or keep it red.
if we clear it out then it doesnt really match with the other line on the truck
and if we make it red well we cant garanty a match on the color red.

I love the second shot there, doesn't really matter to me if the red doesn't match excatly for me, but having the strip clear doesn't look good at all :(

Klearz,
If you do up something like the SECOND EB photo, I would be happy to buy a set. (The first shot is not something I'd be interested in).

Ideally, if I can source some lights like the 2nd EB shot above, and some ED XR8 fronts, I'll be more than happy.

the thing about the EB tail lights is .. chances are they can be done a lot cheaper then what would be offered by these lights.
No offence to Klearz as i think his work is fantastic, but the fact that standard EB Lights can be modified to look like the above photos (see InitialD's work) without having to worry about getting the colour right etc and will no doubt work out cheaper (2nd hand lights)

the EA lights look like they'll be worth it!

Cheers for that Klearz, the EA photoshop reminds me that the clear bit would have to be smoked very dark to match the lower garnish, but I'll have very bright indicators so it will work well. Will look great, I look forward to it. Let us know how you go with the Maxima.
