Wednesday night Race 4 Real off-street meets continue to be one of the most popular events on the Sydney Dragway calendar and it’s quite easy to see why!
Here are some great performances from last week’s Race 4 Real at Sydney Dragway. Top Holden of the Week  Top Holden of the week goes to this classic HQ Monaro, utilising its V8 power to haul the big body down the strip for a notable pass of 11.65 @ 117.7MPH. Top Ford of the Week  This brightly coloured Cortina claimed top Ford of the week, it certainly wasn’t lacking power to back up those classic looks with a best time of 12.37 @ 111.8MPH for the night. Top Japanese of the Week  The Japanese pick of the week was this dark purple Toyota Corolla, a Japanese classic with a modern touch and a very suspicious hint of sliver hiding behind the grille. Putting down a respectable time of 13.42 @ 107.2MPH. Top Rotary of the Week  A classic Mazda will always turn heads with the pulsing sounds of its rotary engine, our top rotary of the week goes to this Blue RX2. Wearing its P plates proudly and putting down a 14.39 @ 93.3MPH. Top European of the Week  Top Euro car of the week went to this early Volvo, while aerodynamics may not be on its side the silver bullet managed a 13.19 @ 111MPH; definitely achieving sleeper status in our books. Notable Performance of the Week  This week’s notable performance goes to the tyre tearing nanna, the driver of this XR8 Falcon managed a 12.54 @ 104.6MPH. Did we mention she has 7 grandchildren! Race 4 Real is on every Wednesday night at Sydney Dragway, weather permitting. Keep it safe, legal and off the streets! Gates open at 4:30PM and racing starts at 6:00PM.
