Wednesday night Race 4 Real off-street meets continue to be one of the most popular events on the Sydney Dragway calendar and it’s quite easy to see why!
Here are some great performances from last week’s Race 4 Real at Sydney Dragway. Top Holden of the Week  First up for the week is this classic FB Holden Special. No, we’re not talking about Facebook! This blast from the past bested a 15.2 @ 89MPH but did it with so much character that we had to award it with our Holden pick of the week. Top Ford of the Week  Not to be outdone in nostalgic factor by the FB, the Ford contingency was represented well in the classics department with this tough XY Falcon GT. Pristine in green, the BIG HO pummelled the quarter for a very quick 12.6 @ 120MPH. Top Japanese of the Week  Another GT-R makes the Top Japanese pick of the week. This is not your ordinary street-driven GT-R that has been taken to the track on a whim. The plates ‘RH9GTR’ should be a warning for those in the know. ‘RH9’ denotes a car that is street-registered, on street tyres, and is capable of a 9 second pass down the quarter mile. Besting an 8.8 @ 172MPH, this RH9 membership cannot be questioned! Top Rotary of the Week  Rotary honours this week go to this brilliant blue FD RX-7. Packing simple styling and fat fitment, this rotary cult hero buzzed down the strip for a best of 14.6 @ 100MPH. Top Euro of the Week  We love Euro owners not afraid to put their new cars to the test. This new Mercedes CLA was out putting down some amazing times with a blistering best of 12.4 @ 112MPH. Commentators Pick of the Week  This week’s Commentators Pick goes to this Datsun 1600. Still running in track gear, this typically circuit-happy Datto was out testing times down the straight. With a 12.0 @ 127MPH, this pocket rocket is a beast, corners or not! Race 4 Real is on every Wednesday night at Sydney Dragway, weather permitting. Keep it safe, legal and off the streets!
