Default MOMO Steering Wheels

I was checking out Ebay and came across AU MOMO Steering wheels. Has anyone bought their MOMO wheel off there? What are they like?

FTG Autosalvage usually sell a fair few on Ebay, and they are now a site sponsor. See their thread in the Spares For Sale section for more info.

i just picked mine up today!
told the ebay seller i will gie them $220.. and i picked it up today, blue black one!

pretty cheap i think.
FTG are asking too much.... $275 or something.

email the ebay seller and ask them if you can get a better proce than whats advertised.

cheers

I got mine from FTG for $220 including postage. It was brand new! It is also now $400 (it's the black/grey one).

With the steering wheels advertised on E-Bay, they all have the central air bag facia part missing. Does this mean you have to use your existing air bag unit which means I would have a nice looking new steering wheel but with butt ugly forte grey centre air bag section. Is this correct?

i reckon the seats look a bit work too... i was down there today, but wasnt allowed to see them??

i am really considering pulling my interior out and painting the whole lot professinaly! dont know how much that would cost but yeah!

ANyone want to give some tips on how to DIY paint the airbag cover?

Kinda takes away the point of having a nice wheel if the centre is all cruddy.

I saw that interior as well and gave it some serious thought. Interesting (SFR)you were not allowed to see the seats when you visited . The car the stuff is from had done about 110 000. I too baulked at the rear power windows- gets too complicated and you could end up with a half baked interior.

To paint the airbag, remove it (you need to do that to fit the wheel anyway) and then use VHT vinyl spray. I used it on my XR6 - it is more a dye than a paint so should be totally safe to use on the airbag pad. Put it this way, I never had a problem with it.

And you got your post edited because this comment had 'nothing to do with sale'.
I thought it was VERY relevant myself.

Thank god my XLS ute interior is all black ... with silver/grey inserts.
I want the black/grey wheel myself ... the stock steering wheel is starting to crumble around the back of it.

I have a black/grey wheel. It is approx 2 months old. Apparently the last new one in stock is being sold for $400. I love that wheel, but if anyone wants it, I am prepared to swap it for a brand new black/blue one. The lighter blue - I think it's called TS50 or electric blue?? (ie not metallic blue) - would be my preference. All costs involved at expense of the person who wants the black grey one, and the black/blue one must be sent to me first (it's hard to drive a car with no wheel).

So...the offer's out there, if anyone really, really, really wants the black/grey one.

Here's the Black/Electric Blue Momo one on ebay.

Other option is I will sell my Black/grey wheel for $265 including postage, which covers me to buy the black/blue one myself, and pay for 2 lots of postage.

This is the black/grey wheel I have to swap.

The thumbnail below is of the black/blue colour I am after.

Hello all
I bought my s/wheel and t-bar from the autotek warehouse in Melbourne. They charged me $227.27 ex gst for the wheel and $77.27 ex gst for the t-bar. All up $335 and the colour is metallic blue which matches great with my galaxy blue fairmont. Don't look at the price on their web site, call the warehouse direct.
Details: Autotek 1/39 Barrie Rd. Tullamarine, Melbourne 3043 Ph. 03 9330-4443

The warehouse is in Melbourne but their retail outlet is in NSW, check their website for phone and address. The company caters more to the rice burner brigade, but since they are a MOMO distributor, the also stock the AU MOMO s/wheels and t-bars.

Default Cheap factory momo....

2 months ago roman autotek advertised in the Sydney trading post
AU XR8 MOMO leather steering wheels and gear knobs. These are the official ones ford used from the factory and are leftover stock. ( I got the gear knob)
They are clearing the old stock. I paid $80 for mine. I think the steering wheels are $220 or thereabouts. Damn cheap
They had a fair few different colours as well.

Are the steering wheels really worth the $220 just seems like you don't get much for your money. I purchased one anway just then as if they are going out of stock i dont want to be stuck with a second hand one. Hopefully its worth the cash.

Just for a laugh try ringing an Auto parts place and ask what the price is on MOMO sports steering wheels. Genuine MOMO aftermarket sports wheels usually start around $500 and go up!
