Unhappy 88 KE TX3 Died

Had probs with car stalling when stopping at lights etc for a while & recently while driving (not always under load) it began to splutter like it was out of fuel? Until it finally just cut out & rolled to a stop.
Thinking either electrical or fuel obviously but seem to have fuel getting through.
When the car stalls i found a relay on the floor behind computer was clicking sort of like a flasher unit sound (& hot). Auto elect said it could b a number of things making relay cut power?
Changed plugs leads & awaiting a dizzy cap 2day (cuz its wornout) then will test 4 spark before heading to coil.
Ive read about the ignition module in forum? Not sure what that is cuz havnt got any repair manual.
Its only an old workcar now so dont want 2 spend heaps just need it back on the road to get me to work.
Any ideas much appreciated & thx in advance.

if it is an EFI there will be a fuel relay inside the car that should tick
also an engine managment computer

have a look on the fuel rail and see if there is a fuel pressure regulator on the rail

replace the fuel filter if not already done

if it is carby seek out Vippen or a 88 KE TX3 owner

best guess and diy

if the dissy doesnt fix the problem and you still get the clicking
get to a wrecker replace the unit making the noise
then if no better again that engine managment computer itself

:
Well i got a new dizzy cap 2day & it seems 2 fit with same dimensions as old 1 i had to replace. . . . new leads etc then i went to try the ignition & had fingers crossed to get it started.

BUT, you wouldnt believe it. . . . . the DAMN battery has gone flat & hasnt enough power to get it turning over : :
Got it on charge now for a while & then i can find out if its gunna start or at least find out if im getting spark. Then i can either relax or chase down another avenue :

Will keep you posted on the outcome as it progresses (hopefully not much futher) just incase it helps someone else out there with a similar problem.

BTW, i used firing order of 1432 that i read in other posts - hope its right used:
