Okay I have a AU s1 5.0 litre Fairmont ghia an while it has good pickup an acceleration at low revs doesn't sound very much like a v8 I'm gonna change extractors an was thinking of putting 1.7 rockers in an taking the 1.6 out...would changing them to 1.7 affect the idle,timing or .what will 1.7s do to my car....
And staying away from B,E ,F an X cams what is a wade cam ? Leaning toward 2031 cam an scorpion 1.7s an a tune an also retainers an beehive or double valve springs ,ideas?

I would go with comp cam xe270hr that's a popular choice among windsor owners

Does that suit 1.6 or 1.7 rockers as I was wanting to upgrade to 1.7s
