Given that the Terry 2.7 V6 is from the Lion Ford family of engines and that the Range Rover 3.6 TTV8 Diesel is also from the same family and shares Bore /stroke dimensions with the 2.7 i wonder how this would go in a Terry or Falcon ,200kw? 600nm , they can make a heavy barge like a Rangie haul *** so in a lighter body it could be impressive, then imagine the same TTV8 4.4 version. Oooohh Yea.
So whos first to swap out their 2.7 V6 for the V8.

Engine history according to Wiki here.

You could actually option a 3rd row seat. My parents had one on their old EB which they bought new. It was an 8 seater, with 3 forward facing seats in the back, all with matching interior trim.

I thought it was in the Ford Discovery centre...which is now a car museum in Geelong more or less. There is a member on here who I believe works or volunteers there, he should know.

I have been to the Ford Discovery centre about 4 years ago, there was a BA Falcon with a high roof and AWD which was an experimental car before the Territory came along, what happened to the rest of the experimental cars? E.G V6 Falcons & V6 Territories, where did they go? Same with the Experimental Engines, which were out of bounds for every ford employee at the Geelong Engine Factory with only some exceptions. Where are the stories?

Most of the people that have PD stories are still employed my friend, its the manufacturing guys that like to leak tidbits which they can as there is less risk for them now.

A few engine alternatives are knocked on the head during simulation, you don't go dropping them in and hope for the best.

Did anyone mention the 351w that was meant to go into the EB GT? I think gearboxes were the main issue why it didnt eventuate.
T5 and BTR were only good for about 400nm.

Yes, the 7 Seat Coil Sprung EA Wagon is in the Geelong Museum of Motoring. I am not sure if it is currently on display.

I think it has been mentioned. It ran a Roush modified 351 Windsor good for 227 kw (305 HP) @ 5200 RPM and 475 NM of torque @ 3500 RPM. This was put through a Mustang 5 Speed Gearbox (What 5 Speed did the Fox Body run? A version of the T5?)

I think the T5 was good for a little more than 400 NM as the EB & EL GT were quoted for 420 NM.

Mustang never ran the 351w apart from the '95 Cobra R, which had a TR3550

Correct, the article I have says the EA 351 ran a Mustang 5 Speed, I am guessing the Fox Mustang of the era (5.0 HO) ran a version of the T5.

Yeah it used the T5, and then the world class T5 which I understand is the T5Z used in the AU's?

I think people were referring to fuel injected 351 Windsors, not carbied ones.

The world class went for a while with different ratings. It got to 420Nm in the early 90s. The Z which was the highest was rated at 447Nm and used in the AUs and BA.

Funny that the BA XR6T engine actually out rated its own box by 3 Nm. No wonder they upgraded it with the series 2.
