Yes that's right every fuel tank will over time accumulate moisture.

And Boom!!!! rough running, hard starting.....Oh must be the E fuel?

I'm never using that again!!!!!

Exactly. Any fuel change needs a few tanks run through before you see any consistent changes or benefits.

Default Re: E10 vs E85 petrol type

I've had about 1.5 full tanks of E85 put through with a new pump and fuel filter. Car has 108k's on the clock - so I'm sure there's some excess gunk in there that'll get picked up. I'll change the filter again after another tank or 2 of E85.

Will run another tank of E85 again soon as I miss the smell haha (and performance).

One thing I did notice, is I had drained the E85 to very low before filling to 98.
When I first started the flex fuel sensor didn't have enough time to adjust itself from around 79% ethanol and it was very hard to start and ran rough for about 5-10 seconds. I'm guessing the fuel pump prime when IG is turned on, was not enough to cycle the 98 through the system.

I was thinking - is there a way to prime the fuel system for longer without starting? If you floor the throttle while cranking, I know this disables injectors, but does the pump still run and therefore prime/flush the fuel system?
