How about some updated pics without the nudge bar and chrome strip Austin, the original photos soiled our eyes.

Nice basis for the new projet there, any plans for a wheels update?

Working on more pics mate, a bit rainy here at the moment so it's not the best to take pictures in.

Wheels will come, the budget has to recover but some BBS copies will find their way on there eventually.

All yours - not paying that much for one. The blue one matches the colour of the car anyway :hihi

Kris no T series rims this time, they're getting a bit dear and the BBS ones will work better with how I want it to look.

The MOMO gear and the new springs have just been dropped off and hopefully we will be lowering and exhausting 2 utes this coming Friday night if all goes to plan.

Good to see you back in the AU clan Aust. :-)
Out of curiousity, do you reckon the price difference between the two vehicles (in your opinion) is really worth trading up to a FG?

Wouldnt mind a un-biased opinion, and you have spent considerable time in both models.

Good to hear from you again mate - it has been a while.

In answer to your question - honestly, if I had the money I'd park another smurf right next to the blue meanie (thats the AU's name for now) tomorrow. BUT, if I was on a budget I would probably stick to the AU. Skip the B series, they are uninspiring to drive unless you go to an FPV in which case it's more for the prestige of owning one, not the driving experience, and an FG is a very, very nice car from factory. There isnt much most people would want to do to them to get them fun. This AU though, now that I'm driving it, is actually giving me more fun than the FG did because of the character of the car. Cranky angry bloody mean sounding thing it is, its not the fastest and it's certainly not the best looking ute Ford ever made (by no means ugly though) but by geez it's fun and it's costing me less than half what the FG did every week.

Awesome. Sorta what I wanted to hear lol. Been considering buying one, but not at the expense of the AU. Will wait a bit longer, then as you said, park them side by side :-)

Gotta love the old AU, and yeah they are a cranky lil bugger arent they.

Yup - kinda had a giggle last night, this thing wobbles from side to side from factory, and there are guys that spend big money on newer cars to make them do the same thing.
