Would it sell in the States when you have the “real big brother” Raptor?
Down in our part of CR, I’ve seen 3 or 4 F150 Raptors ... Tuff as!.. And makes even the dualcab Tundras look small.
In saying that... I would kill for a Ranger Raptor here! (Do they make em in lhd?)

I wish I could answer that accurately.

I have always preferred the Ranger after I sold off my F250 and later F150.

Then again I no longer needed the capacity. I had an STX with the factory off road package which probably equates to the Wildtrack. Loved it. Put 309k miles on it before rolling it. The hills I used to pull with that thing, fully loaded with cut firewood were something.

The Ranger only lost sales when Ford ignored developing it. I am thinking they were protecting the F series. The full sized pick ups are too bloated for many.

I'm wondering if the US gets something like FX-4 with bigger wheels and body flares
available as options. That might be enough to satisfy high end buyers for now.

north america get a Lariat spec as their top of the range. they haven't yet quite gone in to full production so I don't know what aftermarket styling kits are available

Ford has just revealed a list of dealer options including bigger wheels and wheel arches.
Scuttlebut is that Ford NA would like another trim level, maybe something easy they can do?
My first thought on this was an appearance pack FX-4 with bigger wheels and wheel arches..

In other news, I see that Rhino4x4 are developing a 3D bar for the Raptor.

They’re looking for donor cars too.

Why did they do nothing to the back end at all. I have seen a couple of Raptors now and from the front they stand out. But I stopped behind one few days ago and I didn't realize it was a Raptor until I saw the badge.
Halogen taillights in 2018 on a 80k car? Yeah, nah.

Guess they spent it on things that actually matter in the car.

Having brake lights that don't look 30 years old does matter. LED's are cheap in 2018 and safe.
Some base model Toyotas have had LED rear lights for 10 years.

Yet some Toyota still ran headlamps that were ordinary 20 years ago.

Ford coulda saved themselves plenty of money if they had have badged this thing as a raptor and put led tail lamps.

Seen the back end of a Prado lately?

Virtually unchanged for more than 10 years

It does matter and when you're spending dollars on a 2018 you shouldn't have to go on ebay to buy Chinese knock off parts to fit to it to make it look like one. It might sell great now but it would be selling better if they looked after the minor (obvious) details. It was the same story when Ford bolted on the cheapest looking 1995 parts bin amber side indicators to the FGX. It's a lack of care.
