Thanks Jeff. Mate early days yet as far as numbers go. But as you say, if I come up solo I would be proud to display with your club.

Awesome car!

- I love the "no spoiler" look with the quad pipes at th rear!
- Engine bay is immaculate.
- I preferred the GT replicas (new ones are a bit too fussy).

Thanks man... 2 outa 3 aint bad. And yet I am the opposite. I thought the GT replicas always lacked something, other than 19". I guess I like detail, and they didn't have any. Added to which, the clear coat on the machined finish was starting to blemish.

Damn you Kev, I noticed those rims about 3 months ago and thought they would look great on my T.

You can have 'em. Going to have to find something else now. Booooooooo

Kev, they are nice looking wheels and I think it is an improvement putting a non Ford wheel on nice modded cars such as yours!!

They were the D'Corsa rims mate, and they have been off the car for 14 months now. They were actually removed because of the hundreds of of little chips on the leading edge of each spoke. Another legacy of that eventfull day we both took part in.

Thanks Jason, and I think the FPV replicas are becoming rather abundant. These are an 8.5" rim too, so a 265 on the rear next tyre change might be the go.

Kev, love the new wheels mate, can't go wrong with the dish! They really suit the car and make it stand out even more! Well done!

Looks like I'll be following you with changing my wheels very soon...

I saw that Bud. Those Cobra rims will look fantastic on your ride mate. I reckon the 18's personally, but you choose mate. And thanks for the kind remarks Brother.

P.S. What the hell are we doing up at this hour?

Thanx mate, I'm leaning towards 18s as well, considering the car is a a daily and I'm driving a lot.

P.S. The day(or should I say night) has just started for me!

Well after some fairly frustrating efforts, today I have a working FPV starter button. Tony (ORSM5LTR) and myself had look last night at fitting it, but we couldn't get the required wires out of the factory loom. Very frustrated, and defeated I decided to fit the switch today, regardless of the wiring status. So after having a look at the position of the real deal, I took some rough measurements.

The FPV switch in a Pursuit Ute.

Armed with that info, I went to work on the hole. The centre of the switch should 30mm from the edge of the dashpad and the top of the switch should approximately level with the top of the hazard switch. Mine ended up just slightly higher, but still came up ok. I used a compass (drawing type) and a hobby knife to etch the hole in outer dash. And a drill and round file to go through the backing plastic. A little rough, but effective. I'm no expert...

I then gently pushed the switch into place and removed the cluster to fit the fastening nut.

I then fed the switch wiring down to the steering column, and replaced the cluster.

Then I cheated. Having tried a few times and wasted hours to get the wires clear of the plugs, I went to a sound system fitter I know. Even he had trouble, but we won in the end.

A working FPV starter is now in the T. Woohoo.

Nice ride mate, I got barry at BPT to my starter button and its not easy even though I was only watching.

I assume the cooler was silver before like the typhoon, if so why did you want black. Just curious.

The pics earlier in the thread when it's on the dock show a very pronounced cooler, and pushed me to paint it like I always wanted to. Makes the front look cleaner, and stops alot of people peering back as they pass, and flooring it.. LOL
