Smile Current delivery time for new 2017 vehicles

Hi,

What is the current lead-time for a new Ford Mondo Titanium wagon?
From Spain.

As the lady of the house has ordered a new car & has insisted that ii is a 2017 build due the new model being shipped with 19” wheels. To replaced her 2011 MC Titanium Wagon.

Has any body else placed an order for a new Titanium this year ?

Regards

Hi Redpoptop,

To give you some idea, my first MD Titanium Wagon was a 04/07/2015 Build and an 08/2015 Compliance (first registered 31/12/2015). My new MD (MY17) Titanium EcoBoost (Sync3) is a 21/07/2016 Build and an 09/2016 Compliance and was first registered 06/01/2017.

So from both I can see at least 2mth to get to our shores from Spain. I would imagine that 2017 Built cars should be ready for sale in March 2017...

As for the 19" wheels, I highly doubt that is the case...
The Mondeos in the UK for example still have 18" wheels, even the new ST Line versions. There are however (2) 19" wheel options, Rock Metallic and Y-Spoke.

Hi Opel26

Thank you for the lead time info,

The lady of the house has been told that all new mondeo titaniums for 2017 .75 MY
Will have 19" wheels as standard and the front head rests will be two way adjustable only, and a new exciting paint colour as well.

The down side is a $500.00 price rise as from the end of January production, perhaps ford will update the sales info soon.

Regards

Red pop top.

January built Mondeos are now hitting our shores.
They are all March Compliance.

Thank you Opel26,

I have been told the lady of the houses mondeo is being built in march and is expected to arrive in June with the 19" wheels as standard which is much sooner than I expected looking at last years delivery schedule.

Hi

The wheels are shown on the ford mondo uk accessories alloy wheel page as 19" 5x2 spoke silver. Ref: 2013853.As I only have a poor black & white copy of the details
The sales bulletin just adds that the head front head rest will be just two way adjustments only. Plus a$500.00 price increase.

Here is the link to the Ford UK Accessory site; http://www.ford-accessories.co.uk/mo...select-vehicle

I think the wheels look ok. In fact they are the wheels that are on the Mondeo ST Line (in a charcoal rather than silver if I recall).

I just wish we got the 7 spoke "Y" Design wheels, they look the goods.

Interesting...

Am expecting a Trend hatch (diesel) mid year for my next company car. Given the Titanium is moving to 19's, I wonder if the Trend may move to 18's ?

This is the only thing that turns me off getting another one for my company car. It was a 7 month wait last time. I can get a Passat in 2-3 months.

Hi,

We have been advised our Titanium is going to be assembled during the first week of April
So may arrive end of June / early July.

The one other change for 2017MY is a addtional paint colour which is metalliclous.

Not sure as to trend wheel size moving to 18" it may be worth asking the dealer as they know all the MY changes which came in.

Published at Motoring.com.au yesterday:

Quote:
Information to hand indicates the Ambiente trim level will migrate from 16×6.5 alloys and 215/60 R16 tyres to the mid-spec Mondeo Trend’s 17×7.5 rims and 235/50 R17 tyres. Following on from that, Mondeo Trend will now ride on the flagship Mondeo Titanium’s 18×8.0 wheels and 235/45 R18 tyres. And the range topper gains 19×8.0 wheels in a five-spoke design with 235/40 R19 tyres.

Other minor changes for the model year include a new colour, ‘Metalicious’, and two-way headrests for the front-seat passengers, in lieu of the four-way headrests fitted previously.

Prices are expected to increase by $500 across the board. The 17.5 model year Mondeo entered production from mid January and first local deliveries are due next month.

Ford will make a formal announcement about the revised Mondeo during the first week of April.
So all models go +1" wheel size, +1 colour choice, and downgrade headrests(?) for +$500.

I ordered a titanium wagon on 2nd February. Not sure when arriving. I was told April. I prefer the 18s on the current model than the supposed new 19s. If the link is correct wheels they look similar to the current ambiente wagon wheels. That would therefore be a poor choice of wheel.

Has anyone else transitioned from an XR6 LPi to a Mondeo diesel ? My employer has chosen this path. From what I've read, I need to adjust to a 0 - 3000 rpm range, and use the 400 nm of torque. Interestingly, a similar torque figure to what the LPi offers. IMHO, positive additions to the 2017.75 Trend spec would be the 18" wheels, blind spot mirrors, and the Ranger like dash with the centre speedo, as shown in the overseas Mondeo / Fusion models. Will miss the digital speedo if it's not available.

I'm moving from a territory diesel to Mondeo diesel. Not much difference in power or torque.

You're shedding 300 - 400kg in weight, depending on specs, so the Mondeo may be quicker of the mark. Good luck with the new car. Keep us posted. **edit** and yes, I haven't seen a smokey MD yet.

I have been busy but I got my new Mondeo titanium last Thursday. Love it. Best choice ever. It is a shame that Ford don't advertise this car more as it is an absolutely beautiful car. I have been driving it in comfort mode and what a ride. I get window tint and paint and interior treatment tomorrow and then I will be driving it everywhere.

Congratulations. Colour looks sensational!
Did you find out what the MY turned out to be? The wheels look to be the 18" design so probably not MY17.5?

So now that you have the new beast, can you tell us the Build Date and Compliance Dates? I am interested to know as mine was a MY17 with Sync3 and was Built 21/07/2016 Compliance 09/2016 and First Registered 06/01/2017. But I ordered on a Monday and picked up on a Wednesday, did not have to wait at all!
I bet your are glad the wait is over, you ordered in February right?

17. The Ford dealer has not heard of the 17.5 model. I sussed it out and if the wheels are the same as overseas i prefer the current wheels. Mine was built January 2017. I am guessing just before I placed the order.

That is because they wanted to sell you the over stock...

If I remember, the MY17.5 versions went on sale at the start of April.
I am surprised that you didn't get one, if you were prepared to wait for the car...

Redbook have them listed; http://www.redbook.com.au/cars/resea...POT-ITM-463032

Carslaes too; https://www.carsales.com.au/bnc/deta...D-463037/?Cr=0

But nothing on the Ford Website.

Nice, and enjoy. Agree Ford are not a marketing company. I don't recall any (mainstream) marketing of the EcoLPi engine when it was released. The best NA Barra spec they've built IMO.

Agree with the over stock comment. I have been cruising SEQ dealers, and am surprised how much new Mondeo Sync 2 stock is still out there. Was shown an internal email confirming the 2017.50 spec would gain an inch in wheel size, although the salesman added it maybe an option. Plus another paint colour. Trust there's more than this in the update for the Trend spec. Digital speedo addition too please...

Mine has digital Speedo. I think it is included in the sync 2 to sync 3 update which should be done, if possible, before the car is delivered.

No such thing as a Sync 2 to Sync 3 update.
They are on a totally different platform.
Also revised dash cluster information on MY17.

Having owned both, I must say that the screen used on the Sync 3 is heaps better. It is like a new mobile screen that does not show up fingerprints. My old Sync 2 looked terrible with finger prints and glare...
