Hi Pplz,
Introduction... New to 2016 a Cooler kit to suit the Ford SZ Territory's with Petrol Engines & 6spd ZF Rear Wheel Drive Automatic Transmission 2011-CURRENT. We are happy with the design of our stainless steel bracket kits to suit the front of the SZ Territory's. The petrol models are all rear wheel drive 6spd ZF transmissions which now use the falcon style heat exchanger located in the same location as the falcon. (Near/Left side rear of the engine, close to the transmission) Known Problems...

Does this kit fit the SZII or the 6HP21, as the SZII petrol does not run the ZF box but rather a copy.

I went and stuck my head under one in the show room at the local dealer and it's still got ZF tags which means it will suit all RWD Petrol Models. The Diesel's come factory 4WD with the 6R transmission but it can also be bought as an option in RWD but i have not seen one to know if it is ZF or still 6R. (The 6R is the Ford Copy of the ZF) The diesels have limited room up the front other wise i would have a kit to suit. The diesels will need alot more R&D to make sure a kit cools them when loaded/towing. Cheers Rhys |

That’s interesting that you say they have ZF tag’s on them, as my understanding is that Ford Aus changed from the ZF sourced 6 speed (6HP26) and went with a Chinese made which is supposedly a copy of the 6HP26, but is known as a 6HP21, this box is now in all SZII petrol models, where as the SZ petrol model’s have the original ZF 6HP26.
I am just seeking clarification if this kit you now have available will fit the SZII petrol considering the above info, and even though the Chinese copy is supposed to be a direct copy of the ZF, I’m just trying to confirm that there is no little subtle differences ?. |

The RWD petrol's have a ZF trans and all petrol's are now only available in RWD. They also said the Pertol Territory is now a FGX falcon base running gear and runs a similar transmission. Most of this in unconfirmed in writing but they did have some sort of idea. I was there picking up parts and stuck my head under a RWD petrol model on the show floor and it had ZF stamps. (ford 6R has ford stamps). They also could not confirm if the RWD option Diesel was a 6R or a ZF. Also the 6R and ZF are not direct copy's they look the same but that's about it. Cheers Rhys |

The 6R80 is the Chinese copy (used in Mustangs/Ranger/Everest). This transmission is used on all Territory Diesel models.
The 6HP21 is just a lower torque version of the German ZF ... still a ZF though. Although some parts are interchangeable about both 6R80 and 6HP26 ... as some performance places are using 6R80 shafts and the like to build hybrid transmissions in performance applications.

Wiki indicates that the 6R80 is a US manufactured transmission. Quote:
This reference indicates that the 6HP21 was the ZF transmission made in China Quote:
