Default Lv Focus Xr5

Hey all,

Just letting you know the new LV XR5 Hatch should hit showrooms next month and they look very nice indeed. I have a healthy amount in transit to our dealership which is great compared to the last model! So it should be the same for the rest of the country.

Nathan.

Fantastic news!

Can you confirm the RRP and any available options? Also, I understand it is manual only with no no DSG gearbox?

2 door won't make it Aus.... The XR5 seems to be a mix of the UK's ST1,2 and 3, Aus misses out on a lot of the cool features the UK gets...

Thanks GT CAM. Its a shame we won't get it because I love my 3-door LR and I was keen to see a 3-door focus back in Aust... oh well I'm sure the LV will still be an awesome progression of the Focus family! (particularly when and if the new Auto DSG gearbox happens if at all)

Cosmetic changes really. New front end, stripes, revised taillights and bumper. On the inside, new trim and dashboard materials as well as revised instruments. Not sure what options will flow through to Oz spec cars though

Main mechanical difference is option of DSG type box, but again, not sure if will be an option in Australia (i doubt it).

Engines, brakes, suspension all the same as far as I am aware

Yep, thats about it, no DSG for now, only manual.

You get bluetooth with voice control as well which is pretty cool.

Sunroof is an option as well.

Stripes are optional.

New doors, bumpers, bonnet, headlights, taillights (LED), wheels, interior freshened, starter button, bluetooht option, sunroof option.

It's not extensive, it's a hell of a lot more than some mid-life makeovers for other vehicles though.

DSG would be hot though!!

Keyless entry and keyless start is also standard, Leather seats come with heaters.
I don't think DSG is an option anywhere..?

The photos above show the xenon headlights we don't get by the way. We also don't get the LED tail lights, seems they are optioned when you get xenon.

Your local ford dealer should have the new broucher. It's interesting, as it show the facelift LV XR5, but also has the old LT focus for the other models. The "hero" pic on the front is the XR5 in Performance blue with white stripes, which the combo I ordered by coincidence.

Price is $500 more than the LT, depending on your negotiation skills, fleet discounts and supply of 1st born child, etc will depend on what price get for drive away. I paid around $40K.

Small problem, stripes aren't optional on EO paint.

What aftermarket colour are you getting? Or did the Dealer not realise?

Stripes are only optional on Frozen White, Performance Blue and Colorado Red.

It appears that the first shipment has landed in Fremantle, but Ford won't release them until June 19th... Maybe a national launch..?

Yes, EO = Electric Orange.

The brouchure has these colour combinations:
Panther Black (with Silver Stripes)
Moondust Silver
Sea Grey
Electric Orange
Performance Blue (White Stripes)
Colorado Red (White Stripes)
Frozen White (Blue Stripes, a first for Aus in White by the way)
