hi every1. with the xr being 1000km over its serviced and 10 000 over the oil change its time to go in, so far range ford has the top of the list, with park ford being on the very bottom under a back yarder.

my dad goes to McInerny in Morley. They seem to be good for services.

thanx for that. the EF went there for the 1st 6 years of its life. will give them a ring. problem is it needs to be a drop off and instant hire car there. the only problem weve had with them is they always screw up and allocate to many cars to wat they actually have, was nice having the serivce managers ghia while our gli was getting some warranty work done tho :P

I've done all my own services myself, however I've had my BF at Range Ford twice for an attempt at a warranty replacement of a rooted sway bar bracket and stabiliser bar linkage, radio reception lost (loose connection), brake fluid flush, and a second time for the loose driver's side rack-mount bolt causing the creaking, done for free as a TSB.

Both times I couldn't really complain about the service. They wouldn't cover the sway bar bracket and linkage as the bracket was bent big time (must have been previous owner), but the charge was reasonable. I found the car parked and locked up nicely with the handbrake on, not just in Park, which is a real pet peeve of mine! Always a pain when you find it with windows down, unlocked, just in Park. Shows they don't give a stuff.

Second time was all good. The service manager/assistant/whatever you call him at the front desk did not seem very knowledgeable at all, but I spoke with the workshop super who did know what he was talking about.

So all in all, a positive experience.
