Default ED Fairmont Brake Advice/Upgrade

Hi Matt,

I was hoping I could ask some advice on a potential fix and upgrade for my ED Fairmont Ghia.

Firstly I'm not sure if it's normal but the brake pedal is very hard to the depress, almost to the feeling as when the engine is not running, I pumped the pedal about 5 times and left my foot depressed on the pedal with the engine running and the pedal was slowly pushing back up.....

Is there a problem with the brake system being that the pedal is so hard to depress?

I change the brake fluid yearly (at least) and the car doesn't get driven much....

Can you recommend an upgrade for me that will allow the factory wheels to still be fitted (15") the car is still running factory hardware.

Cheers

There is no brake upgrade for 15" wheels unless you just put slotted rotors and better pads. If the pedal is that hard you may possibly have booster problems as the pedal should drop a little when starting the car. Maybe you need the car checked first just so you can get that issue fixed first.
