After many weeks free of bird poo from the sky, I washed two cars today. They looked great!
In the space of the afternoon, both got lined up and shat on by birds (we call this "getting birded"). I've noticed in the past a freshly washed car seems to attract it. Maybe it's just good luck. What do you reckon - do you think our winged friends might aim for the shiny?

pretty sure nature is out to get clean cars.
last week a bird decided to eat some berries then fly over my car and "bird it". did a quick high pressure hose to clean the car off. this week I finally washed the car for the first time in ages (car lives outside) within 24hrs there was more bird crap on the car and a cat has walked muddy feet all over the roof and windscreen.. there were no signs of cat prints for the 2 months prior while it was filthy dirty..

Yes, a conspiracy by the feathered community for sure. Leave your dusty dirty car out for a week no sign of bird crap. Give the chariot a bath and wax etc, birded on before you can get it into the car port.

So my suspicions are correct.
There was a currawong that used to eat the purple berries and shart little stacks upon my wetsuit as it dried on the fence. If anyone has pics of cars that have been utterly destroyed by birds, feel free to post them up!

Also when you park it under a tree and it gets covered in small leaves and blocks up around the wipers/behind the bonnet and all the other crevices.

I reckon birds must like to watch their scat come out... so they park themselves over a nice shiny car where they can see their reflection, and watch the business as it happens!!
