Thought it was about time I posted in this thread.

Love:
Shape, twin lights, exclusivity (Sprint), seats, steering wheel, easy to upgrade to higher spec interior, availability of parts

Hate: Brake size and upgrade limitations, stock discs are too small and calipers need multi piston, hard interior plastics, weak standard block (no 351 option boo), and no IRS, standard wheel rim size.

Still cant stop buying E-series fords, on to my my sixth one now lol.

I think they designed the cupholders to fit the standard size polystyrene cups, not the oversized Maccas ones...it's not the cars fault! lol

Love -

Perfect combination of old school beast with modern sensibilities
The excellent front and rear vision
Comfortable ride
Decent handling
Smooth auto - unlike the Commodore 4L60E clunkamatic
Attractive & ergonomic interior
Cruise control setup
Doesn't get attention from police

Hate -
Thirsty in all situations except highway driving
Brakes fade easily
Psychotic smartlock
Brake light switches!!!!
Other electrical gremlins

I don't think anything will fix mine. Everytime I get an alignment, it's good for a while, then it starts to work it's way out again.

good: twin headlights, FTR rims, fat stance when lowered, enough room in the boot for three bodies, easy to get parts for, easy to work on, easy to bodge to get home.

bad: dodgy, short cup holders, window regulators, IAC units, power steering pumps and dizzy location

ugly: unable to fit dukes of hazzard airhorns in the engine bay, attracts d-head vn-vs drivers, too many mods/not enough money.

My EF
Likes -
Its never let me down in 5 years of having her
Its on LPG
I think it looks good
Sounds good
The love you have for your first car

Dislikes - Its really slow
Central locking requires 3 different locking methods
Headlights always going yellow
Stereo has more power

my ED Turbo -
Likes -
Its rather fast
It has hubcaps, sunshades, and door reflectors
Stealthy
First car I have built engine for first true project car

Dislikes
Requires a fuel tanker behind it.
Constantly breaks autos and diffs
Always requires love and attention and a bank manager
Previous owner installed EF cup holders into ED Console and painted door handles silver. (Horrible.)

My EL Ghia only had two flaws that really ground my gears.

1. Head Lights were shocking
2. Cup Holders & loosing Drinks... Made drive like i was Driving Miss Daisy

Otherwise was a real sweet ride

Wink

I hate washing my EL GT's, brake dust from the oem pads . Going to a Ford Dealer trying to buy parts only to be asked "What's an EL GT"? . Love the looks you get when drive into a "informed" dealership, also like the old school GT owners comments after taking a ride in an EL GT. The best part is owning 2 EL GT's

Love the shape and love the mods I've done that have made it mine. Drove a brand new, top of the line, six figure something or other the other day and thought, "yes, very nice" Drove my hard suspended, rather loud and somewhat quirky EL home again with a grin a mile wide.

Hate the stupid, stupid cup holders.

Love the electric window switches that despite having at least a couple litres of coffee spilt on them over the years, are still working.
