Exclamation SBR New Sponsor Announcement

G'day all,

I have just got off the phone to Stone Brothers Racing. They have invited all clubbies to join them at the announcement of the replacement sponsor for Pirtek. The new Driver for next year may (I took as will) also be announced.

It will kick off at 11.30 next Monday 31 Oct 05. I will get a email out to you all this arvo / night giving a few more details but if you can get a long lunch or develop flu symptoms then you shouldn't miss it. SBR would really like us to be there and called personally prior to posting it on their website because they are greatful for all the support that we have given them in the past.

Anyway thats it and check your inboxes tonight for more details.

Cheers,

Ken J.

I have a feeling that a violent 24 hour stomach bug may hit many a clubbie on Monday morning.

I have a feeling that I will catch it – and I am almost certain that Kerri will catch it too??

Cheers, Tori

Gee you really sulk up easy today. :P

I tell you what if there are that many "sick" people all in the one place we probably should have a paramedic on hand...

Tori, in 83', I spent a year touring up and down the coast of Qld, so I guess I was a bum. From the Atherton Tablelands down to Gold Coast,. Ahhh, those were the days, now I'm an old bugger. Definately do not tell you mum she's a bum. Be like me, hate everybody else in the world, but be nice to your mum.

Well I did tell my Mum that Bob Hawke said she was a Bum... and she replied that she didn't give a flying ... um well lets just say she didn't care much for what he thought. God I love my Mum - a spades a spade!

But the important question is Mr Phoon... What sort of car did you do all this touring in?

Cheers, Tori

Several types of cars Tori, hitch hiked, although some great people I met in Mackay who were quite wealthy, gave me a TR7 to drive around for the 8 weeks I spent there.

OH! Uh Uh Uh : There is only ONE Lead Foot Lynton in our group Mr. Besides if I am guilty of anything it is having a car that is just so much more powerful then yours - Its just way too hard to maintain the slow crawl that the Gecko travels at.: How do you like them apples :

I don't know if I approve of the hitchhiking but I guess in the olden days you could get away with that sort of behaviour. _2: I don't even know what a TR7 is but it sounds alright! You do know that all I really wanted you to say was that you had the good taste to at least spend some time touring in a Ford.

Cheers, Tori

G'day All,

I got this off the SBR web site.

To show your support Ross and Jimmy Stone, Caltex Racing’s Russell Ingall and the SBR Team, ask that you “wear your allegiance”. All fans are encouraged to wear their SBR supporter gear to go into a special draw to win one of two rides with our new driver in the 3UP purpose-built Ford V8 Supercar ride car.

Yes that’s right - a free invitation to this very special preview and the chance to win a 3UP ride with our new driver - you must be wearing your SBR supporter wear to enter the draw.

I am sure you all will have something to wear with SBR on it as we all picked up plenty of bargains at the open day this year.

Cheers,

Ken

I don’t think Marcos will be there :( I mean they are talking about his replacement after all.

Although Russell should be there and he is pretty sexy too and cheeky – just the way I like them!

And Drew – I can loan you a hat – all of mine are signed though so you’d have to be careful – but I hear you’re a safety guy anyway

Hey really looking forward to the announcement!!! What no hints yet on who the Driver is!! Gossip Gossip
As for the prize in outfits - why not where our club gear as representatives, and then to make it look good for the media, put a big sign SBR on poster as in a vote plackard VOTE SBR NUMBER 1 - 2 that way we get the media coverage for our club and SBR, and maybe you might win the 1 Prize - What a Ride!!

I must agree with Don, wearing our club shirts showing the media that this club supports SBR would be a better idea especially when everyone should have a club shirt by now. "Just my opinion"
