How does a power valve give you a half second on the 1/4 when your at WOT the whole way, especially if all that was wrong was a slight stutter on take off,,sure your not forgetting something?...like along with the power valve the engine got rebuilt

Last weekend i tried my 750 demon that was just square jetted and picked up 3 tenths and over 2 mph, and i rushed it and didn't get to tune at all. Seems some work and some don't, probably just a combination thing.

Maybe, but i have the RS version so it may differ. Also a note in the Demon book is to not square jet these carbies.

I'd say it's got more to do with the 8.5CR and E10 you're running :

Hey Croc, not sure if this has been posted yet, but there's a great vid capturing all your action on fullboost.com.au

Can't seem to attach the link, but it's on page 1 of the vids "Calder Park V8's" video dated 5 Jun 2008.........there's a few there, but your's is under the "Naturally aspirated and nitrous engines" with yellow XY avitar.......need a login.

http://www.fullboost.com.au/video.php

You're punching that rear end hard off the line ;) What's with the F-100 pulling 10.0's!

Just got back from the Ford Nationals at Heathcote. Best run all weekend was a 10.6@130mph. Have to change the gearing now as it was over revving about 30 metres before the line. It run 129mph with the exhaust on so theres not much difference with the exhaust dropped. Theres still alot more left in this combo. Carby needs a bit more tweaking. Stall needs upping to a 5500 stall and rear end needs sorting out with some nolthane bushes.

It has a 5000 stall in it with 4.3 gears. Going to take the stall out and get it done. 60ft was 1.52. Should be a bit better than that. Stall is very tight.

weird, mine has 28" tyres and crossed at 7200rpm

you might have 4.88 maybe??

or your convertor could have a little slip in the top end??
