G'day All,

The club has had some exciting news over the last couple of days. Herrod Motorsport www.herrodmotorsport.com.au has come on board as a Club Sponsor. Rob Herrod in conjunction with Lynton Motorsport on the Gold Coast have set up a Herrod shop here in Qld. The Club Executive went to the official opening of that shop a few weeks ago and talked with Rob Herrod and Nathan (our man on the Gold Coast). We discussed Sponsorship at this time and Nathan called yesterday to confirm the details.

Right, so with Nathan's and Herrod's help and sponsorship the Morgan Park 6s V 8s is now confirmed. We have had increased interest in the event the last couple of days and the numbers are now around the 25 cars mark so we were getting close but with Herrods help we can go full steam ahead with the day. Which is great news for all of those that have committed to the day. We will also be able to keep entries open right up to start time so if you still would like to give your car a run you have plenty of time to enter. In the next couple of days I will get details of how the day will be run and what you will be battling it out for but in the mean time dust of your helmets and "Ladies and Gentlemen, start your engines".

Morgan Park is going to be the highlight of the year I think, but I have to admit, if Drew's car isn't the one to break down then I don't want to think who's it might be

So all you V8 drivers had to get Herrod Motorsports to make your big slugs quicker just to keep up with us pesky 6's?

Do you guys mind if a (currently) non-XR driver (and member) attends to take some pics? Our XR8 is on order and not expected before the end of April (unfortuantely) and I'll look at joining the club as well, pending a few questions :P

Hey look I was the sucker that got stranded for hours with him last trip to Morgan Park and then nearly died on the way home due to a stupid barina pulling out in front of us.

I also lent him my FPV to drive around the track so the day wasn't a complete waste for him.

I then lent him my AU so he had a car for a few days whilst he organised getting the No1 EL back from Warwick.

Drove back to Warwick with him a few days later to retrieve the No1 EL and then follow him all the way back to Brissy to make sure he survived the trip home.

If thats not LOVE I don't know what is!

There’s a reason Tori is the nicest person in the world, she goes out of her way (literally) to help out friends! She even postponed her hair and nails appointment to drive me back to warrick.

This time I plan to drive the No 1 falcon home on the same day as everyone else does.
