FG Low Level Outputs - Progress Report

Ok, we have been working on this for some time and have had quite a few hiccups but we need to make sure we get this right before releasing it. To date we have had many issues with the low level output and were hoping for a release earlier this year. Currently we have had to go down the path of a whole new redesign due to data noise being present on the the levels. This has held us up somewhat so I will be releasing a progress report. What I can tell you is this. It has been designed to connect internally with the FG unit - no cutting of tracks will be necessary, it will ne a straight connection to specific points. There will be 12 volt trigger and 4 level outputs/dedicated subwoofer that will operate at 1 volt peak to peak. Anyhow we will keep you updated.

I am one of the guys that is waiting desperately to get this mod in my car. After talking with the engineer at ASL, I can understand his frustration at not being able to have gotten the product out on time. And now that I know what he is going through, and the steps he is taking to remedy the faults and hurdles he comes across, I won't be as harsh to judge them on their slackness!

Good to hear the progress, looks like its been a struggle with noise from the Ford audio unit.

Will there be a full specification released with this unit ?

THD ?
TIHD ?
Bandwith ?
Output loading etc ?

how much is this module expected to cost? also is it easy to install or would it have to be done by you guys.

hi

u will have two options where u can send us ur cd radio module to be modified or we can send a new chageover cd radio module modified. sorry no pricing at this stage.

Ok, We Are At A Point Where We Can Do No More, We Have Spent Much Time And Money On This And Would Love To Release It But After Much Time Looking Into This We Have Come To The Conclusion That Data Noise Is Introduced From Within The Stereo (before Any Our Circuitry Is Introduced) Which We Cannot Eliminate Without Losing Sound Quality. And We Know If We Released It This Way We Would Get Too Many Complaints.
