Wednesday night Race 4 Real off-street meets continue to be one of the most popular events on the Sydney Dragway calendar and it’s quite easy to see why!
Here are some great performances from last week’s Race 4 Real at Sydney Dragway. Top Holden of the Week  This LH G-Pack Torana was immaculate as they come and packed some serious grunt behind it, running a best time of 11.96 @ 119.23 MPH. Top Japanese of the Week  Practically a staple here at Sydney Dragway, you can always count on an Evo to run a blisteringly fast time. The iconic turbocharger AWD monster is capable of achieving impressive numbers, both in terms of power and race times, with relative ease. This red Evo IX was a great example of this, pulling off an impressive best run of 11.17 @ 123.13 MPH. Top Rotary of the Week  The first generation of Mazda’s legendary rotary-powered sports coupe, the FB RX-7 is by far the least common iteration going around so it’s always a delight to see them turn up here at Sydney Dragway. This particular example appeared to be in original condition on the outside but a best time of 12.68 @ 111.82 MPH indicated anything but underneath that bonnet. Top European of the Week  Mercedes-Benz’s fire-breathing hot hatch, the A45 AMG is the most powerful production hatchback available today with a staggering 280kW at its disposal. This power is generated by a turbocharged inline-4 unit and sent to all four wheels through a sophisticated AWD system, piloting this A45 to a best time of 12.22 @ 112.14 MPH. Top Ford of the Week  A bona fide street machine, this XY Falcon Ute was presented immaculately and had the speed to match its tough looks, running all the way into the tens with a best time of 10.96 @ 121.97 MPH. Commentators Pick of the Week  A standout performer, this XW Ford Falcon looked like it was ripped straight out of the 70s. This beauty had two drivers on the night, managing a best time of 11.31 @ 120.33 MPH and running consistent quarter-mile times all night long. Race 4 Real is on every Wednesday night at Sydney Dragway, weather permitting. Keep it safe, legal and off the streets! Gates open at 4:30PM and racing starts at 6:00PM.
