Toyota just don't bother importing the Fortuna in great numbers, and for a few grand more you may as well get a Prado.
Might be different with the new Prado being $10k-15k more expensive than the outgoing one.

Gold AU SR (I think, had the pram handle, five spoke alloys and late style grille) very well-kept in Wahroonga this morning. Looked like it was five years old.

Fiat X1/9 in Wood St Thornleigh, historic plates but possibly also original GB or Euro plates affixed for show. Bronzy colour.

One of those Smart sized electric Beemers, also in the same area, driving painfully slowly along the innermost lane of Pennant Hills Rd for kilometres.

Seen two ZK Fairlanes in two days getting about 1 white with polished '12 slotters' bit of rust in places, seen it up close stupidly didn't take a picture, 2nd light blue over silver original straight spoke alloys ( i think) was driving past so could only get a quick look yet a picture.
Just nice to see some old Fairlane's still about

A very tidy VL Berlina today, in the rain.
Older driver, maybe bought new?
The Burgundy with grey bumpers.
Only thing I saw not mint was one of the 4 headlight beams was out.

HK GTS at work, but that’s probably cheating. It’s pretty average.

Wow, nice car.

Just had a quick look to see what it was, as I hadn't herd of it before, and after seeing this on car sales..

https://www.carsales.com.au/cars/det...E-AD-15444933/

I thought, ah yes, Jason Statham in the transporter 3 movie..

Had no idea it was a W12 monster. Pretty suprised at the price.. meaning, not a lot of money for A LOT OF CAR.

Would not enjoy the prohibitive servicing costs mind you.

Would mind taking it for a red hot lap though. Thanks for mentioning it.

Cheers,

One Man

They where interesting.. Sourced from Europe (Czech Republic from memory) rather than Korea for the hatch. The Tourer (wagon) was the same. Had a smaller 1.6 petrol instead of the larger engine in the hatch. Tourer even traded the Torsion Bar for Multi Link rear suspension so drove better.

I used to work next to a Skoda showroom in Malvern Road Hawksburn 1978- 1981. They had at least 2 Skodas on the front hardstand one being a yellow one like this.

I recall it was there for a long time! I cannot recall ever seeing one on the road!

The good old days, that's a GTO, Frank Bafile's GTO, Alex Djuric was the one setting the drag up.

Wow, I asked what model; I got model, owner's name, and the starter's name.

I get the impression you were looking for yourself in the background there.
